Yes go for it. The later options are different. Just don't sell your shitty ones, because the last meld option uses 20 of em for 3 randoms as opposed to using up monster parts.Should I even bother melding talismans before unlocking the later melding options?

I thought it was weird people were saying you get more for capturing lol
In the old games it was always something you had to decide based on what you actually wanted, and it looks like its the same here
The updates will most likely be hub only. You should get to HR7 and fight the current final boss before the first update hits.Whelp! Out of missions in village! Time to twiddle the thumbs till some more content is churned out
So when can we craft talismans ? I'm 4* in village and HR3 in hub and I think I may have missed something...
Basically you're looking for rapid fire pierce. Izuchi early game, narga late game(pierce 2 ). Not near my switch atm but for elemental i'm sure there are some rapid element options. And i think spread has one too in the LBG tree. What are some good High Rank light bowguns? I got the one you build from Rajang materials that supposedly is good with Thunder ammo and it was kind of shitty, but it was also my first time truly using one for a High Rank hunt so I dunno if it was just me. I'm looking for something fully automatic and machine gun-esque but all of the ammo types for that one were single shot.
For endgame the best option is the one right before it that gives random talismans because some skills don't roll on the other tiers. Basically, you'll have a bunch of throw away talismans if you keep grinding - that's what you give rebirth too. Never sell your trash ones. How do I use Melding-Rebirth? Says I don't got enough talismans. What does that mean exactly?
It costs 20 talismans to use. You're trading in ones you don't want in the hopes you get something better out of it.How do I use Melding-Rebirth? Says I don't got enough talismans. What does that mean exactly?

Yeah, It's a orangish arrow up symbol, this guy explains all of them.Good, thanks. Is there any kind of icon that says which types of ammo are rapid-fire or some other indicator?
Limited in gaming time so I am going much slower than most here I think, I am up to 4 star village quests now. Getting a reasonably proficient with the Long Sword, love the dash hit switch skill, feels like such an anime move.
Really loving the game. Don't understand some parts of the gear system thoroughly but seem to be muddling through.
Any advice appreciated on the following:
- If I have a sword and then next upgrade has no details but '????' does that mean I have not yet got any of the parts I need to do the upgrade or is there some other requirement I am missing?
- Broadly...I don't have much idea what I am doing about armour. I am making sure my affinity is above zero where possible (as I hear that is basically crit chance?) and where possible I also try to have set bonuses running. I just struggle in understanding the progression, with weapons it is reasonably clear but with armour there is a different set for most monsters. Are early sets completely obsolete? That wouldn't make sense to me as it means that last set you unlocked would be the strongest? Are you expected to rely heavily on the armour spheres for upgrading?
1. It means you don't have access to some parts you need. The upgrades generally get revealed when you've beaten the large monster you need to get parts from or gain access to the area where you can mine the ore/gather the bones you need.Limited in gaming time so I am going much slower than most here I think, I am up to 4 star village quests now.

If there's been two carts I am throwing down that trap otherwise I just leave itUff. 80% of random players online capture the living hell out of them tho :/
My friends better reach HR soon.
400?! How long does loading take? The UI is worse, I didn't think they could do it.
Also, my save is over 400mb.
LOL!
I hope we get some meaty content soon enough.
I'm actually quite curious about World's launch state: I played the game a year after the release so I have no idea about that (and there were a lot of stuff for sure even after the Nergigante). What was the situation like with the endgame when the game launched?
Endgame was pretty much deco farming (RNG based) with tempered monsters/elder dragons + event quests.I hope we get some meaty content soon enough.

You drop into the zones during expeditions or hunts where you could find Tempered Monster tracks. Those would eventually proc Tempered Monster investigations. Nearly all of the game's monsters were split into three tiers of Tempered Monsters that could reward higher rarity decorations upon a successful hunt and were tuned to be beefier than their non-tempered counterparts. Optimally you still ended up being pushed to pursue a narrow band of Tier 3 monsters (All of them Elder Dragons) for the best rewards.I hope we get some meaty content soon enough.

OK thank you, that's exactly what I wanted to know and what I did before Iceborne came out.You drop into the zones during expeditions or hunts where you could find Tempered Monster tracks. I liked it enough at the time, since it took enough control out of my hands to drive me into hunts against harder monsters, but I still feel like the Tier 1 monsters were done a little dirty.
I'll keep holding out hope 😔To the dozens who care, gyro on handheld still behaves like a steering wheel (it wasn't on the patch notes, but we dream).
the way the gyro aiming working in handheld is so strange. like, it's the default thing that happens because the joycon is facing toward the ceiling in handheld rather than at the screen, but most games correct for this easily.QOL fixes I want, off the top of my head:
- "Remove from Wishlist" in the smithy
- Sort the wishlist automatically and/or manually (both equipment and materials)
- Button to recentre the gyro while aiming
- Change gyro in handheld to tilt instead of turn
For the latter two, I basically want the devs to play Splatoon 2 and learn from it.
