So Capcom has given the green light for reviewers to share their impressions of the PC port since yesterday. Since we have them all scattered in the release date announcement thread, I try to compile them everything here.
Firstly, we have an ERA member, FluffyQuack, who have posted their impressions in the other thread (thank you!), as you can see here:
PC Gamer report: https://www.pcgamer.com/monster-hunter-world-pc-system-requirements/
Gamespot preview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sizu00c3cDs
Settings menu: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdElJUY28sU
Low settings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9vEmzDmMlw
Some key notes that I've gathered:
- FPS cap is 30, 60, and unlimited. You can go beyond 120fps if your hardware can handle it
- Volume Rendering Quality is very taxing. The difference between low and high is barely noticeable as well
- Seems like PC version shares the same textures/assets with consoles
- No ultra widescreen support. Report
- Almost instant loading screen on SSD. Report. Another report
In general, it looks like a solid, future-proof port. Please post more impressions here if you find them.

i7-4790k, gtx 1080, 16gb ram.
I did a quick performance test in the starting hub (running the game at 2560x1440).
IMPORTANT NOTE: This was done by quickly noting the framerate looking at one of the most complex scenes in the hub (which just so happened to be what the camera was pointed at after when I spawned in the hub). Don't take this as average framerates. But it does highlight the scalability when changing graphics settings.
Highest preset: 44
Highest preset (except for volumetric set to "high"): 50
High preset: 60
Mid preset: 65
Low preset: 108
I've got a second computer with a 770, but I don't know if testing the game on that would be worthwhile at all.
Additionally, some videos have also been posted on Youtube:Some 3840x2160 screenshots showcasing the difference between some graphics settings with some performance stats (I didn't take these myself, someone else with a review copy sent them to me. You can tell I didn't take these screenshots as I'd never name my kitty companion Qwerty):
All settings high, with Volume Rendering Quality: (60fps)

All settings high, without Volume Rendering Quality: (67 fps)
http://www.fluffyquack.com/mhw-screens/settings-high-volume-off.png
All settings high, with Volume Rendering Quality, Resolution scaling set to Low: (80 fps)
http://www.fluffyquack.com/mhw-screens/settings-high-volume-on-resolutionscaling-low.png
All settings high, without Volume Rendering Quality, Resolution scaling set to Low: (87 fps)

You can see performance stats bottom-right on the screenshots. Hardware used was a Core i7 7700K @4.4GHz with a 1080ti.
