He can still resign for less, not that any of us had expectations of him coming to Boston either way.Welp, Boston fans were 100% wrong about him going there, so that eliminates one pretender this week.
I think so
Probably, but they can still trade Gordon and Anderson before signing LeBron and CP3.
I mean it ain't happening but this is the coolest LeBron ad a city has done this offseason
? Lebron has declined his last two options. It doesn't mean LA or CLE one way or another.Vardon from Cleveland.com has to be the bearer of bad news from the entire state of Ohio.

What sweeteners do they have to unload that horrendous Anderson contract? Especially with so few teams having cap spaceProbably, but they can still trade Gordon and Anderson before signing LeBron and CP3.

First round picks for the next decadeWhat sweeteners do they have to unload that horrendous Anderson contract?

What? I'm saying when the news drops he'll give it before everyone else.? Lebron has declined his last two options. It doesn't mean LA or CLE one way or another.
Houston could be facing a truly ridiculous luxury tax bill if they pay CP3 his max and retain Ariza and Capela, which is expected.
Fred Van Vleet off the fucking bench for the Lakers next season might be the underrated signing the team needs to make in the next couple days.
Let me make it happen...
Fertitta wants to win and has the money. I don't think he cares.
Probably. But the stacking nature of it makes it pretty ridiculous. I expect the Celts to work pretty hard to stay under the tax this year because of that - they'll be in it come the season after.
I heard people talking about 2 unprotected firsts, but I not sure if that will do it.What sweeteners do they have to unload that horrendous Anderson contract? Especially with so few teams having cap space
They can still make it happen if CP3 and LeBron take a little pay cut. Don't think that happens tho.
How they planning on doing that unless they miss on everyone? They're not gonna tie up money in a RFA sheet.
Probably. But the stacking nature of it makes it pretty ridiculous. I expect the Celts to work pretty hard to stay under the tax this year because of that - they'll be in it come the season after and presumably the foreseeable future.
Welp, Boston fans were 100% wrong about him going there, so that eliminates one pretender this week.
Tall4Life bet his account LeBron was going to Boston.Nobody in Boston said he was coming here. It's been LA since last year.
Nice one
Bread did as well. Rip to them both
Tall, you idiot.
Lou Williams set the market for role players when he signed the extension mid season for 24 mil over 3 years (basically 8 mil per). The market for FVV right now is trending around exactly that; 8-8.5 mil per year. I guess time will tell what actually the asking price is but the Lou Will deal definitely gave us an indicator as to how much high end role players get.
He can be added if PG and Bron come on max deals.
So I see the LA Lakers is "the biggest bandwagon team?" stated in the GOAT LeBron free agent thread. Which sucks to me, because I never followed them for any star player or season. I remember I cheered on them as a kid because I was collecting basketball cards and had most LA Lakers cards. But then I haven't followed them ever since, which means I haven't seen the NBA for a good 10+ years. And I am now looking to get back into it, with or without LeBron James, it really doesn't matter much to me, besides the fun factor. I just want to get into the basics and learn about the sports in general with the new season.
To me, the fun part is not to be the best team necessarily, but to have talents and see them develop which is what I find most interesting with any sports team.
I kind of hope we aren't the best team, as I imagine it would be fun following them if there's challenges ahead of the season and that we really have to fight for the championship.
The fucking peach in his hand. I'm done lmao
Don't get me wrong - I agree that the market is going to dry up real fast for players of his caliber.
But he's restricted. Two max guys are already likely to be a stretch for the Lakers (though easily doable with additional roster moves). They won't have money to pay him under the cap, and they can't go over the cap to do it. If one guy comes, it's a possibility, but they'd still be tying up cap space in the heat of free agency when they'd presumably have bigger fish to chase. And the Raps would simply likely match regardless.
Teams with RFAs are in a really great spot heading into FA this year. I have no idea where offer sheets are going to come from.
Any other team would be less of a bandwagon team, other than the Warriors in the last few seasons. So I see the LA Lakers is "the biggest bandwagon team?" stated in the GOAT LeBron free agent thread. I still don't get why the Mavericks would be interested in DeAndre. Not only did he humiliate them, I just don't see how he fits in on that roster unless they get him on the cheap or something, and even then, he humiliated them.
