Don't the SNES Classic controllers work with the NES Classic? I was figuring on using one of those if I ever needed a controller for a 2nd player.
Picked one up at Walmart, but they didn't have any controllers there or Target. Any suggestions on a good third party controller that has the same layout?
Just wait until you can get an official one. If you still can't get one months from now, then go and buy a crappy third party controller.
But for now, just wait. It's not like you are dying to play 2-player Super Mario Bros.
You can also use a Wii Pro Controller or even the SNES Classic controller.
Lol...I was in the middle of filling out the stuff on Thinkgeek for shipping and then NOPE. Sold out while it was in your cart.
Oh well. Will try somewhere else later.

It seems to me that the SNES Classic may have killed the hype for the NES Classic. There's no frenzy or buzz at all like there was originally. And it seems they are still available at all stores near me.
Are these only online deals or can I go into a store and find one?

They are not necessarily in short supply, the problem is the assholes that buy 2 or 3 just to store or scalp them.
They are available in stores too. I walked in at 8am at mine and got one.
Every GameStop in my area (like 40) show availability in store. Now, they don't open for 4 more hours, but I think there will be some to go around if you are persistent. Hopefully everyone lucks out.
I already have a Famicom mini, but we're getting this just because it doesn't have the controllers connected (which was a stupid decision imo, there's accurate and then there's user-unfriendly). I'm more excited than I should be given we're already bored of the Famicom Mini and it's been snuggly in it's box for a very long time!

I found the product listing and looked up store availability. Doesn't say how many but that they have some. And it is every store I know of.How are you seeing that? There are 2 stores in Annapolis, so hopefully they'd be stocked.
Or maybe they are just producing more units this time around, everyone is getting theirs and no one is raising a fuss?
