Sweet. As a UK Netflix subscriber, I'm so glad they are coming to Netflix rather than Now TV.

Netflix has no trouble streaming in HD and/or 4K, where Now TV struggles to stream SD quality.

I really hate the fact that when new streaming services come out, we usually get shafted here in the Philippines. Thank god because of that, we're getting the Studio Ghibli catalogue instead of having to wait for HBO Max.

Great way for Netflix to compete with Disney+ in international markets, great add to the service and I'll be rewatching all these films some multiple times.

Enjoy some of the best movies ever made!

Spirited Away is my favorite movie. Everybody should see it at least once in their lifetime. When Marnie Was There feels like it gets overlooked but I adore that movie as well.

Awesome. I wanted to watch Spirited Away recently and it seemed the blu-ray has either stopped profuction or has a limited release. Lots of places were sold out or selling it for like $40.

Oh awesome! I think this is the first time I've ever read good news about a streaming service that actually applies to my county rather than the US haha

Fantastic! I've seen so few of these movies (only Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke), and I'd love to see more of them. Not a big fan of Japanese animation, but these movies are in a class of their own.

If I'm reading correctly, it seems we're also getting dubs and subs in various languages?

I hope we get all of them and not only get a select portion of the dubs and subs. I'd love to watch the French dub of Porco Rosso.

My poor reading comprehension made me incredibly excited and happy and then quickly turned into heartbreak and sadness.

Ownership rights for that film are interesting to say the least, because of its more mature tone it wasn't sold with the rest of the catalogue from what I can understand. Here in NZ it's the only Ghibli film I was able to buy on ITunes thus for me not a huge problem but it's a notable omission.

That's a shame with it being separate from the rest. It's probably the second or third film I think of when I hear 'Ghibli'.
