And there is no more regions where they are close, unless you want to be really imaginative about unknown sales data in Mexico.
First you said that Activision was quiet because the game is having bad legs, I told you that was wrong and in fact Activision commented the game was doing very good and they were happy, and then you doubled down because you really *want* to push your made up narrative.
Meanwhile, all your analysis is ignoring that in the month the PC version launched, there is almost no PC sales being tracked by this thread.
And the definitive proof of bad sales, there will be sales in Black Friday. I guess every AAA game bombs every year then. smh.
You mean like UK? GTS first week was 80-90k, forza first week was 30k.You mean in places where the install base discrepancy is huge?
I'm willing to bet that in most regions where the install bases are fairly close-ish, Forza would be selling more or better relatively.
I really, really hope WolfII sells well on Switch
Bruh that was a holiday launch
By... selling almost the same in 2 days as the other game over a month?
I'm not sure about your logic here, to be honest.

Shadow of War makes sense — full 3 weeks on sales versus 5 days of Origins and Mario.
Forza 7 wasn't so great.
Wolf2 and TEW2 breaks my hearts... but some hope for strong digital sales.
It outsold GT Sport. How's that not a big accomplishment for the franchise?
You should follow the conversation... it was about 'this' happening in other countries with similar ratios. The problem is there is no such countries.
Let me get this straight, you're saying the holiday had NO effect and pretending you're the rational one? Ok.Yea i'm sure thats what caused it! it already had 1 million preorders way before launch. it couldn't be just pent up demand.

GTSports sold ~80k in UK first week and Forza 7 sold ~30k. PS4 and One are relatively close in UK.
Great for the Switch. Strange that PS4 is still on top of the year, I though they were close, maybe the leaked numbers were not real? Or I'm misremembering them.

Yeah but that doesn't mean it sold a lot. I mean, I'm sure publishers know that racing games don't sell in the US by now so they probably don't have high expectations.
You can literally say that about any game.If a publisher budgets accordingly, you can see success with a racing game in the US. I dont think MS ever go overboard with any of thier budgets for Forza.
I said it's a big drop and its no wonder Activision isn't talking about the game any longer. Them commenting about it a month ago as they are releasing the PC version doesn't nullify my comment.
I didn't comment on PC sales because we are in an NPD thread and BattleNet sales aren't tracked. I'm simply commenting on Destiny 2 being more front-loaded than the debut.
Destiny is the best selling game in 2017, it's not a bomb by any means but it's second month is underwhelming compared to it's predecessor. All I said is that if numbers are bad we will see good deals for Destiny 2 on Black Friday.
You are bringing up bombas and seem to have a prosecution complex about a game, which by all accounts has generated a massive amount of revenue. The question around Destiny 2 has always been whether long term it will be more successful than the debut not the immediate revenue it generates from it's launch. Activision and Bungie have a 10 year plan so they need to keep the playerbase growing and a lot will depend on the reception of future content.
And what exactly does that have to do with what I said? Racing games are selling nowhere near to what they use to during the PS2/early PS3 era. There's a line specifically about racing games in the OP. Goodness.
I suppose being #1 comes with some bragging rights, but these result will likely be a fairly big drop from Shadow of Mordor. The previous game had only 1 week worth of sales counted (not 3 weeks), digital sales weren't included, and it had the PS360 versions coming in Nov. to pad sales.Middle Earth: Shadow of War was October's best-selling game overall, while also taking the top spot on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms. Sales grew over 20 percent when compared to the launch month of the previous release in the franchise, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, which debuted in September 2014.
Ohh it was a larger difference than I though. Switch stock shortage didnt really help in June. Thanks for the numbers! No it must be good, there was a gap of ~160k in September.

Let me get this straight, you're saying the holiday had NO effect and pretending you're the rational one? Ok.
Same. Personally for me, I wanted to like it, and it is a good game. The only problem? I played this same exact game years ago with SoM - which made me bored with it in the end.
Disagree, i think Galaxy has greater freedom in movement. About the later point, sure thats fine, i was apathetic towards it though, it didn't resonate with me (and by sales, others too) like Odyssey, i hope they never go back and continue in the same vein as Mario 64, Sunshine, Odyssey. You realize that, for all intents and purposes, Galaxy was a lot more similar gameplay-wise to 3D World than it is to Odyssey? Galaxy is extremely linear and not sandbox-y at all. It's basically get to the goal/objective. Also "3DS style" is such a weird way to describe what is literally a direct translation of the 2D Mario formula straight into 3D.
Does anyone have the Gran Turismo numbers for the previous games? I mean if I remember somewhat, the difference between the latest titles and the PS2 era ones are pretty staggering.
No.Are they? I thought the gap was still fairly sizeable in the UK. Like 2:1 still.

No Diddy Kart Racing? For shame.Mario Kart 8 doing well is nice and all, but I still want a new kart racer
Nintendo Kart please?
Alright let me break it down for youWhen something sales out in 24 hours at launch, it's not really because of the holidays. ps4 had way more hype for it then switch, and switch managed almost a million in it's first month, and it was sold out. Is it really that hard to believe ps4 could have did a million in 24 hours in march, especially since it already had 1 million preorders way before launch. we'll agree to disagree then.
This if developers and publishers can better understand this the anger towards micro transaction would lessen heavily in the long term. Will keep a close eye on EA going forward to see how the battlefront 2 controversy effects future EA products.Yes, I agree Battlefront's monetization is bad.
This is why I also raised issue with putting microtransaction orcs in Shadow of War historically since it seemed like a blockade (not fun for customers) instead of a bonus (fun for customers).
