Starting to get all giddy about KOPW. Went to the NJPW store in Suibobashi today. I knew it was tiny but was still a little surprised by just how tiny. Still, there was room enough for a stack of YOSHI-HASHI shirts so there's no need for a bigger space quite yet.
Really the only thing I wanted when I bought the tickets was to see Liger live once before he retires. That's looking like a thing that'll happen, so I'm happy. The card isn't the most exciting ever, but every match should be entertaining in one way or another. In some weird way Okada/SANADA is the match I'm looking forward to the least. It's probably a combination of having seen that match multiple times this year, plus the fact that it's bound to go long. It's not difficult to picture the match in advance, which isn't always a bad thing, but in this case it does these guys no favors. I'd love nothing more than for them to do like a 15-20 minute sprint rather than the 40+ minutes it's probably going to be. Realistically though, the crowd will be hot, and I'll be fully sold by the time the coin drops.
