Has there been any mention about how long HBO and Sony are aiming for with TLOU? I kind of feel like the show tops out at 3 or 4 seasons. No way they do 8 seasons like Game of Thrones.
Could be the remake models. Hard to say.
Contracts are signed on seasons.
Atleast i never heard something different.
Sometimes shows get extended contracts. For example I remember reading an article where the creators of LOST had an agreement with ABC to do six seasons after the third season was completed. Some on the Ted Lasso team said recently that the plan from the beginning was to make three seasons.
Probably the exception like you said, but I feel like Neil has a general idea of how long he would like to see the show run for.
This. And between the PS3 design of the first game and TLOU2 they made lots of advancements in both gameplay and visual tech that if the remake really can do what's been rumored and recreate the first game anywhere close then like you said that seems like it could be something pretty substantial despite the age of the game, even just in visuals, animation, etc., while also being something they're seemingly able to work on on the side of bigger new projects even after taking a bigger role in it than originally planned.I mean....what are you gonna do? Is it superfluous to have a remake this soon? Perhaps. But it's another way to stoke interest in a franchise when the movie/show adaptation come around by adding a prettier coat of paint on already successful games. It's a cheap project relative to making a new IP, it gives some of the devs at Naughty Dog not assigned to a big project something to do, and maybe the Last of Us Remake is more substantial than what we might think. Naughty Dog has up to four projects in development, one of which is a new IP. I view these remakes as relatively painless and they're likely the only remake Naughty Dog will ever work on for the foreseeable future.
Yup.This is such a rubbish take. I know he's commentating from an "industry analyst" perspective, but as a gamer PlayStation literally exists as the intersection between technological innovation and entertainment. The entire history of the brand is built around marrying those two things into consumer products.
Virtual reality may not be everyone's cup of tea, and I fully respect and appreciate that, but few things to me are more exciting than the ability to be "inside" the worlds Sony (and other publishers) create.
Who cares what Xbox is doing if the experiences are amazing? And at the absolute worst, this serves as a differentiator, which is important for companies like PlayStation to have.
This. It's such a ridiculous thing to say. VR is the future and we won't get there if no one tries it.
The protagonist is a brand new characterNew character but Aloy still appears apparently. Wonder if it's an original character or someone from the first game
The fact that they say we'll meet the protagonist soon makes me believe she might be in Forbidden West.
Only other 25 people here has good taste.Q: Which announced PS Studios Game are you looking forward to the most ?

If you combine 2) and 3) you then have a total amount of people not wanting Sony WWS making Marvel games. 🤓
Q: Would you want more Marvel Games from PS Studios
1) Yes give me more Marvel Games (171 votes)
2) Yes but not developed by 1st Party Studios (110 votes)
3) No i don't want more Marvel Games at all (109 votes)
Starfield next year gonna prove you wrong I guess.
I voted 2, but if it had been possible I would have liked a 4th option: yes, but developed by 3rd party or brand new 1st party teams. No issue with 3rd party doing it and I'd have no issue with Sony going on a hiring spree to hire a new team or signing a publishing deal with an independent developer to develop a Marvel game, but I'd hate it if any of Sony's established teams which so far has worked on original games moved to develop a Marvel game or just any licensed game in general.

We did our best. Us and our 24 brothers and sisters.
I imagine Sony cares more about the record breaking sales from Spider-Man more than vocal minority of an enthusiast forum. Thus, we're getting Spidey 2 and Wolverine. Money talks. If you combine 2) and 3) you then have a total amount of people not wanting Sony WWS making Marvel games. 🤓
Sony technically more people don't want Sony making marvel games or at least the current Sony first party studios.
LOL if publishers looked only at the attached rate for a game compared to overall console sales, 99.9999% of games would be a failure.
Agreed. Protagonist is definitely a new character in Forbidden West.

I wouldnt say that, he was wrong over the Bully 2 rumors most likely, and got a few details about the splinter cell game off, but generally he has been on more hits than misses.Well, from what I can tell, Tom Henderson is basically always right,
Yep, that's fair, Bully 2 was his most recent leak too. I kind of give the Splinter Cell thing a pass. I think before Bully he got Star Wars right too. Jeff Grubb might have got the name Eclipse right, with Henderson on the details like Quantic Dream. But yeah, still good percentage.I wouldnt say that, he was wrong over the Bully 2 rumors most likely, and got a few details about the splinter cell game off, but generally he has been on more hits than misses.
