Sony Group gonna be looking a lot different if by the end of this decade they've bought Paramount and are deep into the EMV market with their Afeela joint venture. One can only imagine what SIE would look like 6 years from now, considering how much it's already changed in the past 5 years.

It would be weird if Sony, publisher of the mighty successful live-services Destruction All-Stars and Predator Hunting Grounds, had any authority to talk about what a live-service developer should and shouldn't do.
I don't play HD2 (yet) but this whole story has the energy of the underdog prevailing against the big guys, that's why it makes people happy.

That's what Sony needs: Less focus on their Cash Cow and try to revive a business that has been on decline for years.

I'm glad they fired almost 1k people in recent times and closed multiple Studios to waste more money in Sony Pictures which aint bringing in a lot of Cash already
RDR3 and GTA6 are pretty easy choices for me. GoT2 would probably be my third as long as Legends mode is as good/better/expanded from the first game.

That's the reason why they are investing more in Sony Pictures. To make it more successful. Same reason why the bought EMI Music Publishing for $2.3 billion. To make Sony Music more successful.
A lot less focus on the division that makes the most money. Makes sense.

I still believe in the GR just because of the movie but Medievil always seem weird to me
GR2 port would have been a double bomba on PC and PS5. It's seriously not worth the effort.
GR has nice world, OST and Kat herself. But as games they are not exactly special. They get actually pretty tedious.
Has to be that top row for me (GoW, SM, TLoU sequels).
I'd want to play them all, but the only other one I'd feel sad about missing would be Ghost of Tsushima 2.

Are you comparing a huge Hollywood film studio with a tiny videogame studio like London Studio that was flopping for almost 2 decades?
And Sony kept investing in PlayStation despite the PS3 almost ruining the entire corporation. Also there's a mighty difference between Sony Pictures and the likes of PixelOpus and London Studios.
Pretty sure Sony Pictures is loosing them more money after the new Ghostbusters Movie flop than Pixel, London and Japan Studios together lol
Sony Pictures isn't only one movie. Dozens of movies, studios, TV shows, licenses, etc.
Just stop man. Sony Music needs more investment. Sony Pictures needs even more investment. Sony is a entertainment company now. And Sony Pictures needs the most money these days. They need new IPs.
And PlayStation doesn't need first party Games by their Studios lol? This year is dire for releases yet again because SIE owns too few Studios

The only one who's saying this is you. Yes, SIE does need more studios. But what does this have to do with Sony Pictures (maybe) getting Paramount? Did Sony stop investing in SIE after they bought EMI for $2.3 billion to improve Sony Music? No.
This year is dire because it takes longer and longer to make AAA games and because they canceled a few games. We still get Helldivers 2, MLB The Show, Concord, Rise of the Ronin, Stellar Blade, a new Astro Bot game, TLOU2 Remastered and an Until Dawn Remake.
Just stop. Sony going after Paramont has nothing to do with SIE.
