Yup, same. Because it's Game Freak, I worry even tons of backlash will somehow fall on deaf ears, but yeah.
There's a part of me wondering if the reason the anime is going for a globetrotting feel is because after DP remakes which are likely out in 2021 they're probably going to take slow down game releases.
That way they don't have to worry about Ash staying in Galar for an extra year or two and can put out spin offs while they work on Gen 9. It's clear that them putting out Let's Go as a stop gap did more harm than good. Hell it's making this game look less polished by virtue of Let's Go having more detailed battle backgrounds compared to this game often putting battles in a void
Nah. It sucks, but none of these cuts affect 99% of the audience, including people reviewing the games. We've already had glowing previews.
The actual reason is probably because they think the anime doesn't have enough Kanto.
Yo Peeps. This is gonna be my first new mainline Pokemon game since gen 3( I played lets go pikachu). This may seem like a loaded question, but what have I missed? How has the series evolved (or I guess in some cases not evolved). Are the 3D games good?
I feel like of all the things wrong, it'll be the janky day/night cycle that people will notice the most.

if only... younger people from team A worked on Let's Go while veterans already worked on Sw/Sh. Team B was working on Quest, Town, Giga Wreckler.
This requires consequences for not doing so. Which would be the game selling or reviewing poorly.

Did we ever get confirmation on how/when the level gatekeeping is handled? I know it's by gym badge, but does it at least happen quickly enough that I won't have to intentionally avoid trainers to keep from exceeding it?
It's pretty accurate when they will give gf a pass and you know they are looking forward to blindly defend the game and use every excuse in the book. It happened with lets go and it will happen here but this time they won't have the excuse of waiting for the next year's game.

And hopefully the second half of the game/post-game, since the previews were only the first 90 minutes.
Beyond that I think all our concerns are gonna be glossed over since the average reviewer just isn't as deep into the Pokemon hole.

It wouldn't. They will see the sales which with cheap Lite ($200) will be massive, probably 15m+ quickly.
Seriously what? I had low expectations going into that video and I was still surprised by how sloppy it looked.
Nintendo doesn't get to decide. GameFreak has a stake in ownership of the IP so any major decisions requires their approval as well and they'd never take the mainline games from themselves and hurt their own bottom line.
It looks like a PS2 game in many ways. Like the way people and Pokémon move remind me of FFX, just with shinier graphics.
They also don't care and will probably mess them up as badly as it looks like they see messing up these games.
Is Barraskewda the new fish of healthy meta? It learns so many coverage moves, including Psychic Fangs, which with a Life Orb and Attack boosting nature, allows it to handle Toxapex. The only thing it can't really take out that quickly is Ferrothorn.
I get that they don't have a turning animation, but maybe have it walk around in a circle instead of pivoting in place
Comparing the reactions here to /vp/ is so overblown, lmao. Some users may be getting into fights with others but there is 0 racism, homophobia, bigotry, NSFW content, etc. Just yesterday there was a user who called people complaining about the game mentally ill and mocked autistic people, and they were banned. People are being harsh on the game because to be honest, as someone who was very much excited for these games, I'm liking it less the more I see of it.
Creatures, Inc owns that other 1/3rd. I don't think any of the three would do it, but I do think if Nintendo wanted to they could convince Creatures to throw in with them on it.
