PS Plus January 2022: Persona 5 Strikers (PS4), Dirt 5 (PS4/PS5), Deep Rock Galactic (PS4/PS5)

Just a reminder that if its the same as Control earlier in the year (and some other game i forgot i think)
If you dont have a PS5 yet like me then you need to claim the PS5 versions seperate in the app if you want to play them on a PS5 in the future.

Strikers is a good time on PS5. Not the best game i've ever played (story is a bit meh and rehashed imo) but the soundtrack is amazing and the gameplay is fun

Goddammit why isn't DRG cross-play at all. Have it on GP for both XSX/PC, and now PS5 but most of my mate's are on Steam...

P5S is set after the events of P5. So yeah, it's very recommendable to play P5 first.

Its completely different gameplay wise, BUT its a direct sequel to Persona 5 so it will just spoil you on it.

Well P5S is nothing like traditional persona gameplay wise. P5 would be much better. Strikers is also a direct sequel to P5

It essentially loads instantly and from what i read it runs at a very solid 60fps on the resolution mode on PS5.

Ah, guess I should have waited. I bought Strikers on sale on PC a while back, but haven't played it yet. Might start it soon though since I finished a few other games on my backlog that I wanted to play first, and have been looking forward to playing this (really enjoyed P5).

No you are good! I just edited, I read it as PS5 (like the actual console) and not P5S the game. I was very confused why you having a PS5 gifted to you was a bad thing here. Haha

Nah, its battles are much smaller scale. It's basically a linear ARPG.

Basically, yeah. Don't go into it hoping for Persona school-life mechanics either. The game is basically a road trip and there's no confidant system or any of that.

That's a really great month. I've been wanting to play Persona 5 Strikers. Don't sleep on Dirt 5. It has some of the best use of the Dualsense and adaptive triggers, and is just a genuinely very pretty and fun racing game

Just picked up a copy of Strikers on Black Friday. Oh well! I'll just keep it in the shrink wrap then, looks good on the shelf. Super excited to play it! My girlfriend played through Royal last winter and loved it, so we are both looking forward to checking it out!
