No, but he could probably do more serious fantasy or sci-fi since most writers have range.
Can some insider confirm that Retro isnt falling apart? Please, we havent seen a new game from them in over four or five years.

Ohhhhh shittt
Real talk though. A DK game that parodies contemporary "cinematic" games would be absolutely hilarious. Too ballsy to ever happen but still.
I never knew I wanted this.
It's really all about to happen isn't it?Considering almost every western studio's (including Retro despite being owned by Nintendo) employees work on contractual basis and you don't move on until your job is done, nah.

Two award-bait games in a year might be a little too much.Donkey Kongo: Barrel of Darkness will win every game of the year award.
Don't you love it?It's ridiculous how airtight Retro studios is. I can't believe we know absolutely nothing about what is happening over there.
Nah, they had job openings pretty recently. They're fine. There's usually a 3 year gap between their projects, there could be a lot of different reasons for the next game to be taking longer:
- Nintendo's restructuring after Iwata's death may have impacted them somehow
- The current project started as a WiiU game and got changed to the Switch in the middle of development
- They spent time working on a project that got canceled and had to restart from scratch
- They're just doing something really big
LOLActually it got canceled and we'll have to wait three more ye-
Dammit
Either way we should be seeing it this E3, which is what's most important. This is really nothing, while people prefer to move on after they finish one project they sometimes leave for many reasons without finishing. Besides his job could be done and the game is still a ways off, shrug.
Deja Vu lolEither way we should be seeing it this E3, which is what's most important.

Nintendo just cancelled their game. A new 3 year cycle will start soon.
If Retro doesn't appear this E3 at all, then we can safely assume something wrong must be going at Retro. It's been too damn long almost reaching the same time it took Sony Santa Monica to make the new God of War!. Hoping for some good news of them soon.Way too much speculatings based on a tweet in my opinion.
The only thing we know for a fact is that they haven't released or talked about any project in 4 years, and I'm more inclined to think at that point that they're having huge problems. I'm really hoping we'll see something soon.

YepI read it as he completed his job and is moving back on home as per expectation. Retro at E3 here we go!

Exactlyor maybe he found other work and moved on from what he did at Retro and the work is still ongoing?
Let's stay optimistic, at least till E3 to see if they appear. It's kinda annoying how secretive they can get tbh.I'm assuming something's wrong since last year. It's a shame because it's probably one of the top five most talented studio in the 2004-2014 decade.
.Ohhhhh shittt
It's crazy how tight liped Retro is. It's like the bomb in the head comic
I predict Retro will be sold to Microsoft soon. Nintendo clearly milked them dry.
Jon Verrall is leaving Retro Studios after 2 years. This suggests that the project is at the tail-end of development.
It's happening, folks!
