Lol - literally my first thought as a Steam Deck owner. I've been doing most of my gaming recently on Deck, so the more games on Steam the better imo
I believe Far Cry 6 sold well, but I don't have any specific figures to hand. And I don't think others that have been big success, yeah.
Agreed that Valhalla is the best option for testing the waters, as you say.
yeah I can see why Ubi would've taken the deal (I assume Epic paid them well) but it never made much sense to me on Epic's sideEpic seems to be winding down their third party deals significantly. I doubt the Ubisoft deal was a good one for Epic, I doubt they got all that many sales of Ubisoft games on EGS outside of when they were subsidising them with coupons during the big sales.
what's in the change exactly? Sorry not well versed in AC
We didnt even notice.
AC Origins is being tested for steam deck compatibility
Now that's very interesting 🤔
Now that's interesting. Looks like they will be coming back full swing to SteamAssassin's Creed 2 got Deck config update too
Brotherhood and Revelations got new patch depots last month
It's most probably because their deal with Epic is coming to its end than their games not selling well without Steam.

i feel like you misread the postWhy not just start with Epic then? If the games are doing fine, they get a bigger cut there
AC Valhalla was Ubisoft's biggest PC launch ( Wasn't available on steam)It's most probably because their deal with Epic is coming to its end than their games not selling well without Steam.
Edit I'M the one that misread the post! Sorry!Stay with epic is what I meant, if they're successful I'm sure that Epic would be more than happy to bankroll another deal
Why not just stay with Epic then? If the games are doing fine, they get a bigger cut there
If it was just the deal with Epic then Ubisoft would simply keep selling its games through its own service and collecting 100% of the revenue.
But without Epic deal, they won't get the additional (free) revenue. So they come back to Steam for that added revenue. It's not that complicated to me.Why not just stay with Epic then? If the games are doing fine, they get a bigger cut there

Yes, that is the point, that by returning to Steam they will sell way more copies of their games.
Yeah and with them moving more and more towards in game MTX you want as many people playing your games as possible.
Ubi coming back to the good ol' 'Unsustainable/Unrealistic' Steam Revenue share plan :P
Looks like more is being done in the back end too. Might be coming soon, the two year anniversary of it's release is tomorrow..
