Should/Will a Street Fighter 6 do away with Cammy's gratuitous ass shots?

They had to change an animation for V because society couldn't handle the amount of Mika butt on display.
Its funny. Cammy's leotard is her most iconic outfit and she's got Great Britan's Ass but she looks so much sexier wearing pants over the leotard plus it makes more tactical sense i would imagine then again im not a spec ops operative
I think Cammy (and her cosplayers) should be able to exist in their current form without inviting the ugliness of sexual harassment or sexism. If they can't I think that's more of a symptom of an awful, immature community rather than a cause of it.
And yes, a large element of the FGC are disgusting human beings. But I don't see thirst for Cammy butt as intrinsically worse or more sexist than thirst for Ryu chest or Chun Li thighs.
On that same token, Capcom needs to make sure their female characters aren't just reduced to body parts. They should be interesting and varied and they don't all need to show skin all the time. If they fail at that then they could fall into the realm of sexism.
I am really thankfull that SF5 CE now gives you every skin. Atleast now her Jill outfit is "free".

I was playing Street Fighter Third Strike and noticed that all of Chun Li's animations were designed to get as close to showing her underwear without actually showing it, almost to a supernatural degree like Neo dodging the bullets in bullet time.
But there's nuance. Violence in real life frown upon in mostly normal communities. Unfortunately sexism and crimes towards women isnt as strongly opposed. On the contrary it is actually normalized in many different ways, such as victim blaming etc. This normalization is still occuring even in so called drveloped countries.This enabled and fostered by perversive uncheck sexist culture. That's the difference.
You see the way we dont talk about asses and bulges, treasure trails, adonis muscles of Ryu, Ken, Guile etc, or simply lack of talking about penis shows that there is a difference. And if it becomes a subject of a conversation it is either a joke or downplayed as "Hot Ryu" were (wow such shirtless, what beard, that sexualization of males). All of those people who poses like sex positive individuals T&A talk becomes incredibly prude when tables are turned. Then the line for being appropriate is quickly drawn again and again.
It's not appropriate to talk about womens bodies in a public forum and it creates enabling system for sexist culture which has direct consequence for women or anybody who is not a straight guy.
Just ask women, check threadmarks of "Why women criticize sexualized designs" thread. They explained situation thoroughly and so much better than I can.

This might be a real point if sexualization wasn't such a prevalent issue in games. Also, every female character in SFV has plenty of skimpy extra costumes on top of this default.
Sexual harassment is as much a culture based on how women are treated, and games constantly depicting them in scandalous and unrealistic outfits (often and especially compared to men) is indeed because it's rooted in ideas of how women are seen as hyper-sexualized. Telling me Cammy's stereotype is reduced to her costume showing ass isn't helping your argument.
But do tell ME how a green onesie is empowering for her character. >:/

Overall I find her design aesthetic very intimidating and high energy. Sexualizing her ass is all part of that. If it helps to put Ryu and Zangief in a thong to even things out - I'm all for that. It's all in good fun after all.

Not sure why Cammy is singled out but Yes to all of it! Playing against R.Mika in front of my family was almost embarrassing. I think Soul Caliber is the only worse offender...

There's nothing inherently sexual about being thick, so I don't think Chun Li or Cammy's models need to be changed. It's just when the camera constantly lingers on those features that we have a problem.
Cammy's outfit was ridiculous when they introduced it in Super Street Fighter II.
It's also part of the reason I fell out of SFII back in the day too.
If you have to rely on cheap sexy outfits to sell your game it's not really worth my time.

They... they're the same outfit. That's a fan mod for SF5 that brought that concept art into the game.
When i was 18 I hated chun Li's new outfit.
But yeah cammy is a "fan favorite" because of that pose so i doubt they will get rid of it.
