Leftist Youtube is Succdem Youtube, actually. I watch plenty of the videos in that Era thread, and while most are critical of capitalism, there isn't much advocating for actual socialism, anarchism, or communism.

I know nothing about the IWW except they're pretty old. What's their deal? How effective are they at what they do?
I'd like to see more content by guys like donoteat. That is, from people working in stuff like civil engineering, agriculture, or energy instead of philosophy and media. I don't mean to knock leftists who work in those fields, but I hear their perspective a lot. I don't wanna hear about Ben Shapiro any more. I want to hear about building and maintaining communities from a non-market viewpoint.
Eh, I've never been against voting socdem-style policy. The state is often too hard to smash for my delicate hands.

I can see how a certain level of alienation can work to fight against discrimination, but it's still troubling when that same alienation can make it that much easier to detach the morality of your actions from the pursuit of profit.
But honestly I don't get the whole seniority thing in the first place. I might be missing something.
Edit: Guess Matt Bruenig deleted it and I forgot to copy over the tweet text. It was basically him calling the left ignorant of labor because every union uses software that determines who gets fired first in cutbacks, and Soviet Russia had a similar practice.

Christ, I'd love that. Maybe include a bunch of anarchisms on there too. The closest thing I'm aware of is the Political Sextant, which comes as close as it does simply by having radical ideologies of every stripe vastly outnumber major centrist ideologies. It's got multiple flavors of socialism, anarchism, and fascism on tap, to the point of ridiculousness. One of the possible outcomes is Strasserism, which I guess is fair when you've got a grand total of sixty ideologies represented. It goes in balls deep. My results were 100% classical Marxism, 100% anarcha-feminism, and 100% Marxist feminism. I wish it let me see my percentage on other ideologies, but I guess that's acceptable.

I could have sworn we had some good resources on insurrectionary anarchism posted in the thread but that doesn't look to have been the case, which now just makes me confused as to how I confabulated that. Aaaanyways, Anarchist Library has some useful stuff about insurrectionary anarchism and I tend to think of it as a good source of inspiration, though I'm sure I'm as bad at being an insurrectionary anarchist as I am at being a socialist. Some Notes on Insurrectionary Anarchism, Armed Joy, and this one are pretty good primers, I THINK?
Haven't heard much about Neozapatismo either, I must confess.
Playing around with the only political quiz that has multiple categories for socialists, memeing about nuCOINTELPRO, and handing out literature based on said political quiz results. Which mostly devolves into me evangelizing about anarchism having good ideas again. Having lots of fun, basically.
What really confused me is that I would honestly label myself a statist and I gave a "slightly agree" answer to:
State involvement is needed to protect citizens' interests
With disagrees for:
State regulation of markets should be minimised
Government should only be involved in the administration of vital services like the police and fire services
So this is what being a sekirtsucc/statist is, right? Like I broadly think government is useful, I just want to decentralize it. I don't know how people got Marxism and why I didn't get it...

I wonder if it has to do with the money question. I put Neutral (or No Opinion or whatever it was) instead of agreeing/disagreeing that wages should be based on value rather than hours worked because...the point is to do away with wages. LTV doesn't describe how wages "should" be distributed, it describes how they ARE distributed.
