You know, a DRM-free physical + Steam gift code (like, say, this one for Machinarium) would have worked really well for Mania -- don't even need a DVD, they could fit the entire game and then some on one CD!
Feels like they just choose those characters to troll the sonic fans, rather then any actual care for them.
Seems cool, will probably finally pick it up.
I think if you look at the characters they've included, they've largely tried to reference games up to 1994/1995. Mighty and Ray would fit right into that time of the series of characters that existed and are established.
I think the only ones missing from that period of OG Sonic are the Chaotix.
Who does the art for this? It looks like it came straight from the Genesis era.
Why no OC creator like in Sonic Forces? Shouldn't be impossible to do something like that, right? It'd just be a sprite editor.
I feel like they could've gotten away with Shadow's inclusion without much fuss.
Yup, you expected too much when they said nothing about anything ever. I didn't hear them say "Watch out! We have something brewing!"Am I truly the only one dissappointed? :(
No Amy? No... new stages? ._.
And why Mighty of all characters? :-/
Aww.... I expected too much it seems.
They were pretty clear when they said they'll "talk about pricing later" when exclusively talking about current owners.
I'm gonna nitpick and say....it should've been a Saturn alternate cover. Mania was a "what-if" follow-up to Sonic 3 & Knuckles as if it continued on in real life at the time, hence the Saturn-style look to the special stages.
