Exactly. 1 was just crazy fights and popcorn fun. 2 actually took the story to another level.

Kill Bill Volume 2 is one of my favorite movies. I like it more than Volume 1 and I adore Volume 1.

Nah the PPG reboot is trash, I fucking hate PPG 2016.

My hot take: Kill Bill Vol 1 has a long interstitial anime sequence that doesn't further the plot therefore it's automatically worse. Vol 2 has a great fight between Kiddo and Driver and a cool twist on a fight scene between Kiddo and Bill, the origin of the protagonist, the inception of the story (Kiddo getting pregnant,) the reunification of the mother and child, and the fucking conclusion to the story.

Fuck Star Wars. SW is one of the most overrated franchises of all time. I watched the first 6 and thought they were decent, ok, mediocre. I don't plan to ever watch the sequel trilogy. I don't care about Star Wars.

Kill Bill Part 1 really captures the feel of Asian cinema feel and culture. Such a great film.
Kill Bill Part 2 was simply breathtaking. The music (Morricone), Spaghetti Western influnces, the cinematic tension and conflicts. Such a fitting ending to the first part.

Enjoyed 2 more. More Carradine (always thought Bill is Tarantino's funniest character) is always a plus, and liked how revenge takes a backseat to essentially regret.

They're 2 parts of one movie. There is no Kill Bill 2. Both parts are referenced in pop culture just as much, there are amazing moments in both movies. Just from Vol 2, things that are pretty famous are: The Exploding Heart Technique, Bill's Superman speech, the entire scene with Pai Mei and the Bride's escape from being buried alive.
For people who enjoy one part more than the other, that's fine, both parts deal with different themes and styles.
Vol 1 is an homage to Samurai and Yakuza flicks from Japanese cinema, while Vol 2 is more of an homage to Western and Kung Fu movies. They both have added elements as well, of course, which flow into each other, because they are for all intents and purposes one movie.
