Anyone knows any good base locations with decent plots? 1500k-2k morale budget. My community is getting a little angsty
So finally bought it. Got problems and questions.
The problem is that for some reason in PC, my friend gets random crashes to desktop after 15 or so minutes playing, no error message. Any ideas?
Now game related stuff.
Is there a way i can promote my friend to outpost master so he can also admin the outpost?
And last one, how the fuck do I destroy the plague heart? I hit it but it will only drop gas and ended up killing one of my survivors.
Oh yeah and how do I cure traumas/broken bones? Sleeping doesn't seem to do it and theres nothing in the infirmary for that :c
Heh, I'm not sure about that as I never really considered it.I don't think the clear jam path was my other option on this guy. I can't quite figure out if it's just random or based on something about the character.

Plague hearts seems to be vulnerable to bombs and guns. Yeah, don't melee these things.
Didn't have bombs yet and didnt think shooting in an area with over a dozen plague zombies was a good idea.
Will try hit and run next time.
If you help certain survivors or build a sniper tower and have them use one there you can call in sniper support anywhere on the map for some influence points. They will act as cover fire and kill zombies around you which might make the plague hearts a bit easier.Didn't have bombs yet and didnt think shooting in an area with over a dozen plague zombies was a good idea.

From what you guys saying looks like I've got to stock up and grow a little before rushing to the main objective.
Also kinda sad my coop partner is not able to manage my community since I intended to play this fully coop.

Ah, you get influence from killing special zombies, or just killing an amount in general. You can get it from the quests that show up as well, the "help me" ones for instance.Thank you. Im realizing that since I didn't play the first I probably should spend a few minutes reading the ingame docs to know that kind of stuff. I know what influence points are but I have 2XX and I don't know how to make more, so yeah, need to do some reading.
Whats a good base in the valley to move to? Also 1500 rep seems expensive
Duke controllers? That should lower morale. edit: Actually looking closer at it it's definitely the smaller, revised one, so you're good.
This in addition to survivor with Halo Champion trait, good luck other survivors.

While I wish the co-op was more fleshed out, it seems like the benefit of it is that you can get loot and that bonus without having any timers or resources tick down in your game. Could be wrong though.
Holy crap, and I thought my start was hell :DNow I have time to tell you what a f'n day I had.
First, I did my very first character quest, where I helped someone who had problems with a different group that stole stuff from them. I tried to solve it without violence and when they gave me the stuff back, I thought everything would be fine, but then they attacked me when I stepped out of the door. I had to kill them but they killed my partner and the guy that needed help. It was on the other side of the map and while I had a car with me, it was hard to drive back, but at least I had a massive amount of items with me. I thought everything would be ok but then it got worse and worse and worse.
Because someone from the team died, they were mourning which gave -25 points. Then they all had stress together and that also gave minus points.
Since I started the game they also had minus points for "no tower" so I destroyed my workshop and built a tower, that doesn't really helped because I instantly ran out of ammo and it gave so many minus points my medic wanted to go. She even wanted to talk with me but I could persuade her to stay under the condition that I have to occupy a specific building she wanted that gave us +1 ammunition per day. that building was, of course, on the other end of the map.
I was at a record low at this point:
I drove to the place with 2 people and when I arrived I saw that this exact building had a plague heart. Fantastic.
I had 3 Molotov with me which was a bit lucky and successfully finished it with close combat. This one wasn't that hard but when I tried to return, I made the mistake that I tried to takeout a horde of plague zombies a few hundreds meter away from my home, I was too slow and 2 of them jumped on my car while I also drove over one of the fat gas zombies at the same time, I had to get out and from every side they encircled us and almost killed another woman from my team, one of the starter girls even, I think. Somehow I managed to save her in the very last second, she already gave up and said "I don't want to die" right before I saved her.
This is her returning at my base:
Yes, holy shit, it's as close at it can get.
And somehow, even after my camp had the status "Hopeless", I manged to get everything fixed and now they are happy again. For now.
But still, I have only 4 people, nobody asked me to stay so far, my currency is always at under 200, yes I occupied some places and buy something new whenever I have the right amount, but it's not like I'm swimming in currency, not even close, it takes a while to even get 300 hundred. I survive, somehow.
I think the next thing I do is help randoms a bit in co-op, there I don't have to care at all what's happening at my place. Like a vacation.
If you mean graphicallyI don't think they'll bring back a rucksack of materials but they'll bring back the smaller items absolutely. Maybe they were talking about that specifically. I doubt it.

how do you aim bombs? Do you have to slot bombs into pockets and aim with right click and hit q?
As far as I recall, the Microsoft Store said that it would unlock at 2 pm today for Ultimate Edition. I was surprised that it was working at ~2:00 am.
Played on PC for about 1.5 hours on a GTX 1070, Core i5 4690K on ultra [edit: at 1440p]. Frame rate was very inconsistent and depended a lot on where I was looking: a lot of the time, it was locked 60 fps but looking in certain directions would drop it down to 30 fps with only 50% GPU usage (Vsync was disabled in the options)... so I suspect that this was a bug. Gameplay-wise, it feels a lot like State of Decay 1 but with a nice graphical boost (particularly the lighting and darkness: so dark! And the eyes shining in the darkness!), much improved animations, and seemingly a lot more options and bonuses from various buildings and outposts. Combat feels a bit better than in SoD1 so far possibly due to the smoother animations.
Do you mean that by not implementing resources towards co-op it would've left them more time to crush bugs?Like I said in the Xbox Inside thread when they talked about the co-op mode, I feel bad about them. They were so proud to have that in the second game but I have the feeling if they wouldn't have done this and if it still would be a 100% single player game, they would be easily in the low if not middle 80s on metacritic now.
It's crazy if you think about it, this little mode that doesn't even have much attention in the game itself, because, it's still just "a mode" while the whole game is still to 95% a pure single player title, killed their review ratings and maybe have a negative impact on the future of that franchise or future patches.
Just because they wanted to implement co-op.
I forget, does taking an outpost over with supplies in it get you those supplies daily or no?
Also, are mods reuseable?
Tempting me too. It's a rainy day and tomorrow is supposed to be the same, perfect weekend to veg out. I wish games would release on Friday more oftenThe UE is tempting me. I never played the first one and all of a sudden it looks fun. Somehow I missed it before.

From the reviews I've read that's been a bigger factor than the limited co-op. Co-op seems to be a footnote.
For those playing on the Xbox X. What did you set the in game minimum and maximum brightness for HDR? And how about contrast. I'm on a TCL if that helps.
What'sthe best map to start on if you're completely new to the series. Thnx for any info you might provide.
There's a sub option in that menu to call for supply drop which will be called Ultimate Edition or whatever else the pack you got was called. They're free, the vehicles if any, is not.
We're already into Saturday afternoon, you can hold out if you didn't pull the trigger on Friday.I don't think I'm going to make it through the weekend to the game pass release.
