Figuring the ones showcase are the main party members and remaining 100 be additional fighting and non combat units.
That would roughly be my guess.

Backed.
Wish there was some kind of collector's physical edition.
And hell ya numbers being safe. They always nailed it. Who would've thought Melville,Elliot and alanis would've had long story arcs in 3 like that. These guys got it.In Suikoden the main 10-15 characters in the plot are fleshed out more than the main characters in jrpgs w/ 6-8. The next tier characters, another 30-40 are probably fleshed out as much as the average jrpg character. If you like characterization, Suikoden is for you!
Isn't there one? Expensive. But I thought I saw one with a figure, artbook, soundtrack. Probably gone by now.

I liked it, minus the unbearable wait every time you made an upgrade lolDoes anyone remember the skill system from Suikoden III? I loved that shit. Suikoden V had something simillar.
Thank you for backing this as your first Kickstarter! I'm so happy that this game is making some people back a game for the first time. :)
Yooo, the St. Loa Knights. S3 probably does the best job of fleshing out the most characters (the trinity system w/ Thomas' chapters on top really helps), 2 and 5 are right up there too.
Yeah I'm a little concerned how they could make an engaging story with that. I felt Octopath's narrative fell flat and that had 8 characters.

There's a lot of good gameplay ideas in S3 I just wish it had a fast-forward option and much better battle music cuz that shit doesn't even sound good orchestrated :p
Oh man I loved this shitLOOOVED 3's skill system. Such a nice granular way to differentiate all those characters in battle. I remember when I got Chris' parry real high fairly early on and ended up in one of the early Yuber fights and she had multiple rounds where he struck, she parried and countered, he parried and countered and she blocked, or she struck, he parried and countered and she parried and countered and struck. Felt good.

I'm fine with missable, but I really hope we don't get a time-sensitive one like Clive. Even if it's not that hard, it just adds stress. The missable trillion characters are literally Suikoden's DNA, it has to be there.
At the bottom of the kickstarter page you can change the currency.I only see the numbers in yen and pounds, but an exchange rate checker suggests the fortress stretch goal is met and thus the true game has just now been funded. Not bad for less then half a day and three kickstarter outages!
I'm hoping for some kind of card game
I bet the dev team is eating good tonight! Break the champagne. How big is this team making this anyway?
At least 100 staff members are involved in some paragraph I read on the kickstarter page.
