I'm going to be perfectly honest, I think the idea of doing a proper Ghostbusters 3 should have died with Harold Ramis
OR for the BlankMan 2 teaser, they could replace the Ecto1 with a rusty J-5..If they ever make another Back to the Future they just need to replace Ecto 1 with the Delorean and it would work just as well :p
Man I didn't log onto Era expecting a Blankman reference todayOR for the BlankMan 2 teaser, they could replace the Ecto1 with a rusty J-5..
I mean, I'm not even a huge fan of the 2016 movie but come on. It's a shot of a car in a barn.Teaser was better than the whole 2016 movie.
I'm cautiously excited!
That being said, I always considered the video game to had been the real Ghostbusters 3 since it's the last time the original cast was together (aside from Signourey Weaver).
And they basically said it was and the plot was more or less the plot for a third film that never got made.
Guys you know it's a car in a barn right?
I wish I could take this go back in time slap 2016 Paul Feig on it and watch everyone flip out about how awful it is.

The Paul Feig version would be brightly lit with some terrible pop song version of the music playing over it.
The teaser for the Feig reboot already did trade on the characters and setting of the original Ghostbusters movie despite it making about the same sense as the Terminator Genysys teasers that went: 'Hey you guys love Game of Thrones right? Well that chick is in our movie too!'Guys you know it's a car in a barn right?

It shows the first mistake the Feig movie made; being a reboot. They would have been far better off having it set in the same universe as the original movies.
Also, it's not just a car in a barn, it's the music.
Nope, 2016 Ghostbusters was a dumpster fire of s film. This is straight up a continuation of the first 2. Only it's set in present day. Will be a passing of the torch movie. Which means we will in some form see people from previous 2 films.
To be fair though they did kill himI think that's what pissed me off about the reboot the most. After all the bullshit, his cameo was the longest and most drawn out of the other classic GBs.
If only we had an actual teaser to refer too... Oh wait:
And this is nothing great either.. but that didn't stop everyone back then.
The most he did music trailer wise was use an electro modern version of the theme, which was actually pretty cool.
If it wasn't for the cheap Ghostbusters ripoff theme, that could've been footage from Pixels or any generic looking Sony/Columbia movie.
That trailer could also work if it was a DeLorean under that tarp.
They have literally always wanted GB3 to have a set of teen Ghostbuster trainees, it has nothing to do with Stranger Things at all.Teenagers? Well that already drops my anticipation levels. Significantly. Bet they're trying to go after the Stranger Things tone and crowd
Opinions aside, I think calling it a "dumpster fire" is both disingenuous and disrespectful. It was competent and set out to do exactly what it wanted to do. It was simply lighter in tone than the previous two. You can absolutely be disappointed with the direction, but calling it a dumpster fire is just being petty because it wasn't what you wanted.
I'm kinda hoping is bad just to see the nutters try to spin it as good because "at least it's not full of women".
Nah, it was genuinely shit.
I love the idea of an all female team. If the film had been played relatively straight with dry humour that derived from grounded conversations and situations, it could have been great.

Why bother getting into an argument about a 2016 movie that people would be happy to forget even happened, like Splash Too.I didn't even say it was good, you just said it would be brightly lit with pop music... of which this had neither.
Just accept being wrong, it won't kill you.

What movie were we talking about? Splash Too?Lol because people aren't happy to forget it. That'd be swell if they were though.
