That reminds me of latest Activision physical releases. They have only 150-200mb file on disc and you download the whole game as a title update. I hope this doesn't happen to Sekiro as well. :(
Um yes the whole game + extra space. Not a Title Update
Is that confirmation though? One of the sites is clearly wrong, but which one? I agree that 48 is probably the correct one, but how do you know which one is right? It has been confirmed it's 48-52 Gb patch download, not 90+

That seems to be the case, Xbox digital is 43 GB and physical copies still needs to download that amount, PS4 digital is about 89 GB.Pre-load for digital yes, but physical still needs a 50 gig patch.
Are they shipping empty discs with just a license key or something?
RDR2 came with 2 discs, day 1 patch was like 5 GB.

If you purchased the game on disc, begin by installing the game. You will then be prompted to download and install Title Update 1; expect a 48-52 GB download, depending on your region and preferred language. Whether you installed the game from a disc or bought it digitally, the final HDD install size, including the patch, will be 48-52 GB.
PS4: If you purchased a physical copy of the game, begin installing from the disc. Provided you are online, your console will simultaneously download Title Update 1 while you install it. Expect a 48-52 GB download, depending on your region and preferred language. Whether installed from a disc or downloaded digitally, the final HDD install size, including the patch will be between 90-100 GB.

PS4 truly is the best console out there.
Not only does Sony secure exclusive deals that give you TWICE THE CONTENT of other platforms but they also give you the power to play the games at TWICE THE FIDELITY. 90gb packed to the brim.
I wish I had a PS4 myself, but I'm sure i'll be ok with my budget 45gb game too...
Ubi support is an official site too. It's the official website. I prefer to believe official sources.
How do you explain even the digital version on PS4 being double the size of other platforms? It has been confirmed it's 48-52 Gb patch download, not 90+

Not just a key, considering both patch and disc size make the game 100 GB.

You can have high-speed internet and still criticise this because it's absurd.Yeah and I can sympathise with them. I'm talking to the guy who has a problem with it but has high speed unlimited internet access.
I agree if you have data cap or slow internet then it's shite.
I thought he meant total install was 90 GB. So the games not on the disc? That seems to be the case, Xbox digital is 43 GB and physical copies still needs to download that amount, PS4 digital is about 89 GB.

I wasn't taking a swipe at you buddy, we good.Whoops, sorry. I'm guessing you're right, that it's only 45GB download and someone messed up on the other, but we'll see. Seems weird that the platforms would be SO different.
Pre-load for digital yes, but physical still needs a 50 gig patch.

That's a possibility seeing as how Physical copies on Xbox still need to download the full game, the double download size (even for digital) on PS4 still doesn't make sense though.I thought he meant total install was 90 GB. So the games not on the disc?

For me it was a must buy but this is where I'm at now, they're doing their best to push me away, 100GB is just ridiculous! I can't.
Yep
Except that isn't how it works.
What the hell is the point of buying the disc version of that's the case?.
It must be a small problem, then.Seems like pretty small problems to me but to each their own I suppose. File sizes will only get bigger.
What the hell is the point of buying the disc version of that's the case? At this point, might as well buy digital and pre-load instead of waiting for a disc and then waiting for a patch.
In Australia the physical is about $60 digital is $100 both are the standard version. What the hell is the point of buying the disc version of that's the case? At this point, might as well buy digital and pre-load instead of waiting for a disc and then waiting for a patch.
OP, have a mod update your thread title because it is currently misleading as hell.So this is from Ubi's site:
https://support.ubi.com/en-US/Faqs/000041895/
This is double the size of Xbox and PC downloads, some people think it addresses the texture issues on PS4 but still, as someone with a slow internet that's just too much, anyone with a Physical copy could confirm this more?
Edit:
https://tomclancy-thedivision.ubiso...division-2-launch-everything-you-need-to-know
That site says 48-52 GB download for everything but, digital on Xbox is +43 GB and physical copies still need to download that amount, PS4 digital is about 89 GB, so yeah..
