I really disagree. You have the whole
war in the solar system and the decimation of Earth.
You can't seriously call that filler. The story isn't only concerned with the
protomolecule and it's creators. That is just something that drives the story forwards.The worldbuilding in the solar system and humanity slowly finding it's home among the stars
has always been the most interesting part of the Expanse for me.

So after watching S1 a couple of weeks back, I binged S2 and half of S3 this weekend and boy this has been a great watch. Can't wait to finish S3 and then on to S4.

When you're reading the books and you realize book 4 is JAMES S. A. COREY written by Cibola Burn. Idk who this new writer is but that's an incredibly bland title compared to the first three books.

Ugh. Whoever made the call to change the book spine mid-series can go dip their genitals in a blender.

Something I've noted has been said from multiple people who were lucky enough to have seen 4x01 already: the budget increase is just as obvious right from the get-go as the trailers have implied.

started rewatching the series on Prime in anticipation of Season 4. Up to Donnager episode now, and damn it's a great episode. Really like the Donnager captain, and the lieutenant Lopez did so much with so little time, really liked his character, always hits me right in the feels when he goes "It would've been nice to see oceans on mars".

I figured they wouldnt rescue the show to just let it fall off after 1 season, but it's very nice to have it confirmed.

Same! My household's been doing a rewatch in the lead-up to the premiere. We're up to season 2 now and damn. Every time we do this I'm reminded why I love The Expanse so friggin' much. But seeing this level of budget increase -- after having feared for the show's cancellation for years -- never in my wildest dreams.

Think I'm going to get my rewatch finished up by the time the new season is out. This is my third time watching the entire series I believe, and I was still picking up a few very minor things I didn't notice before.

Should have reread the books, but obviously I don't have time for that now. Anyway, the return of the best show on TV.

Minor misgivings aside, it's a relief to have a new season of The Expanse to get lost in. The show is still one of the best science fiction series out there, and it appears to have made the move to streaming with minimal compromises.

Hi! Yes, I certainly can. However, if you or anyone else would like to then I'll happy step aside. If I create the new thread myself I'll likely reuse much of what's in our current OP because I've been busier than usual of late.
