The generation is ending: How many console did you buy?

1. PS4 - Day 1 pre-order, served me well.
2. PS4 Pro - Bought for VR and God of War but so damn loud, sold on eBay after a few years.
3. PS4 Pro Death Stranding Limited Edition - Looks ace and is whisper quiet
4. Xbox One X - Jumped in late last year for Gears 5
5. Wii U - Bought a bundle on eBay right as it was dying
6. Switch - Day 1 Pre order - For Zelda, worth it.
7. Switch - My previous Switch gained a dead pixel and it was distracting in handheld mode.

Switch launch version which I am thinking about selling. Maybe Switch Pro will come out by the time Breath of the Wild 2 comes out, or maybe I will get a special edition when some game comes out that I have to play like Metroid Prime 3 or BoTW2.
I also got a 3DS, new 3DS which I have both sold and a Vita which I sold. Dunno if any of those count.

ps4 and switch... still regretting the latter. BoTW 2 better be mindblowing system seller and not delayed to whatever is next gen for ninty, or else this is biggest waste of money after my university degree.

Got rid of all apart from the pro. Having only one console is such a relief and I don't "feel pressured" having to play all the games across all systems.
I intend to have only one next Gen too. No more multi consolero :)

Just the PS4 and Switch.
I may jinx it but I'm glad my not-launch-but-close-enough PS4 lasted the entire generation and I didn't have to get the Pro.

I got a Wii U and a Switch. Was going to get a PS4 but I kept holding it off for a quieter model and playing my PS4 games at my brothers. Hopefully the PS5 is truly 100% backwards compatible!

I skipped the mid gen refresh.

Next gen - still undecided if I will get anything other than a Switch, but if there's any exclusives that appeal, I will get a PS5 Pro late in the gen when they hit £250. Not falling for the vanilla/pro thing like last gen.

PS4 in 2015, and a Switch at launch. Very satisfied with both purchases, especially the latter.

She got crazy loud, so i cleaned the console and changed the thermal paste.
It helped for some weeks, atleast i had the feeling.
Still crazy loud while playing, so i bought the ps4 slim.
The slim was actually quieter, i could play games again.
Bought a 4k tv and a ps4 pro later on.
The pro was again crazy loud.
I just hope that the ps5 will be "silent".
