Same. I spent 100+ hours getting through the game once, and there are more and more difficulties to unlock afterwards. I mean, sure, if it's the only game in the world but with everything else there is to play, I've had enough. Thanks.
I've never reached a soft ending and thought 'I'm good". If I end up dropping a game it usually happens before then because I'm just not enjoying it.
Even if the soft ending is only a couple hours in? Kid Icarus: Uprising comes to mind. You can easily reach the soft ending in a single play session on your first playthrough if you play on the default difficulty and don;t replay stages.
Yeah this is the way I feel about DQ11.
I really enjoyed the first two acts. But the third act has you revisiting locations and refighting harder versions of enemies and I just wasn't into it.
Yeah. That was me, too. Played a little past that point but just put it down because I had gotten my fill. I really enjoyed the game, though!

I think doing the main quests and killing all the cultists was enough of a completion for me. xD The DLC i will come back to later after a break.I think I'm there with AC Odyssey.
I have 135 hours played and the last 15 have me near the end doing sidequests and searching for things I missed in various locales.
I think I'm going to beat it but I own all the Fate of Atlantis DLC and just don't know if I have it in me to play it....is the DLC amazing? I loved my time with the game but I'm sort of burned out lol
I did the same thing with Sekiro: after 30h of gameplay i felt that i was done with the game and decided to "beat it" quickly, because i wanted to play other games.
And i did this too with Nier Automata: no way i'm going to replay the same missions just to see true ending. Nope.
I guess i didn't enjoy them enough to keep playing.
Batman Arkham Knight
Fuck that Riddler nonsense
Spiderman alllllmost made me not bother with the post game completion stuff as it was padding and a tad repetitive, but I followed through with it
I usually finish almost all games I put a significant amount of time into, but same thing happened to me here. Also, after 40 hours of Persona 5, felt like I get why people like this, but I think I've had enough.Dragon Quest XI's "Post-Game" (or Act 3)
I'm not invested in the franchise so I didn't care for how it apparently would tie back into previous entries and the characters I was with basically weren't the characters I had grown to love because time travel and the quest wasn't the one I had come to care for so after seeing the difficulty spike, I just decided to stop and keep my basic, regular ass ending instead of going for the true ending. Not out of spite for the game, I love what I played through and it was one of my favorites of that year, but it really was just "I respect where you're going but nah I'm good".
It seems to be better than i thought, but still, not enough for me to push through it if B is just a slight variation of A (which i already played 19h).

Outer Wilds is one of those games where progression is limited by your knowledge; there's always a trick to going somewhere or doing something, so at times like that, it's sometimes just best to go somewhere else. (Even when I knew the "trick", though, I left Dark Bramble until the very end.)Outer Wilds.
I spent like two hours trying to navigate Dark Bramble, one inch of of a mistake on your part and you damage your ship or you get swallowed. I get that death is the idea of the game but when I just want to continue with the story and see the game through I'm good. I spent several days mutiple hours trying to get passed it but I just lost all my patience for it. The frustration and wasted hours wasn't worth it.
