That's one way to justify SOROS attacks.

Hey, I don't remember who it is that is polling Era like once a month on their preferred candidate, but
I'd love to somehow measure how much would change if you could be guaranteed that a candidate would win.

Maybe 2 Q's:
1. Who is your preferred candidate in 2020, with all things considered?
2. Who is your preferred candidate in 2020, assuming a currently running Democratic candidate is guaranteed to win?

1. I kinda feel like Biden is right and that (nearly) anyone can beat Trump, but I think the nexus of "most likely to win" and "most likely to govern in a way that pleases me" is Kamala Harris.

2. ...but if I knew that a Democratic win were guaranteed, I'd want Jay Inslee or Elizabeth Warren.

All things considered, I want Harris. I feel like she both can win and will advance a good agenda.

If I could have anyone, I'd pick Mayor Pete or Warren.

I'm actually very impressed with Inslee. Didn't know too much about him, and he seems pretty awesome. I'm assuming he was a good Governor too?

He's a fantastic governor, I think, and I'm glad to have voted for him. He signed an executive order to suspend the death penalty, and he and the blue legislation have been putting together and passing good legislation on everything from net neutrality to climate. I'd have full faith in his ability to navigate our immediate domestic problems if he were elected POTUS.

Ernst: "I do believe climate change is real. And we have seen climate change for centuries"

Burgess Everett @burgessev

Schumer to Cornyn: "Does he believe that climate change is real. Does he believe it's caused by humans. And does he believe this body ought to do something about it?"

Cornyn: "I know what their talking points are now, but I don't believe what we ought to do" is Green New Deal

1:58 PM - Mar 6, 2019

Burgess Everett @burgessev

It appears Republicans are going to spend the next 20 months attacking The Green New Deal

He sounds great. If he keeps it up, I'm going to seriously consider supporting him in the primary.

Ernst: "I do believe climate change is real. And we have seen climate change for centuries"

This is the most tired rejoinder.

Edit: I still think there should be a Fox News primary debate. They may be shady but reality is whoever the nom is is gonna have to deal with them. I want our candidates to get the reps with having to deal with bad faith questions.

1. All things considered I would probably say someone like Beto O'Rourke has the broadest appeal and can get normal people interested in the election but I would want his VP to someone to the left and preferably a person of color or a woman or both.

2. Speaking of both my pick for a garunteed win is Kamala Harris who I find to be a really good candidate but with some drawbacks that are more cultural than to do with her directly. America is still a bigoted nation and a black woman will be fighting her very existence to the top.

I think my answer for both 1 and 2. is Elizabeth Warren still, though the only way I'll be really disappointed is if the nominee is one of those folkes like Hickenlooper or Biden still trying to kick the football of bipartisanship. They'd still get my vote in the general, of course, but I'd be grumpy about it

Climate change isn't real
Climate change is real but it isn't caused by humans
Climate change is real and caused by humans but it isn't a big deal
Climate change is real and caused by humans and is a big deal but we can't do anything about it
Climate change is real and caused by humans and is a big deal and we can do something about it, but China and India are worse so why should we do anything about it.

Yes, clearly these republicans are the people whose opinions and thoughts we should care about on climate change and the green new deal, they've had such a great grasp of it over the years.

1) Kamala Harris. She's the smartest campaigner thus far. Buttigieg is a pretty good campaigner too. Overall though Kamala Harris is running laps around others and basically touting the democratic socialist platform without actually calling herself a socialist, which in my opinion is just another example of her playing the game intelligently. I also trust her to be good at working within the mechanics of governance to get things done, and not just advocate for issues. She's the best balance of progressive policies and smart politicking.

2) Andrew Yang. A UBI would be huge in terms of eliminating poverty, curbing domestic violence, lowering suicide rates and depression, shrinking racial wealth disparities, improving health, etc. And he's also on board with most of the other progressive stuff. He's a pretty savvy politician too. Before I watched interviews of his I assumed he'd be your typical kooky single issue candidate but he's actually funny, candid, data driven and makes a strong case for his policies.

The 2020 Republican platform seems to be "We get it, the only thing Trump's done is pass a tax bill you didn't like, but the Democrats are hamburger-taking, cow-banning, baby-killing socialists who definitely don't hate the same celebrities you hate like Trump does, so let's keep America great."

As an attack on farmers coming after their livestock

So yes it's a big problem from some of the senate races we want to win and it will actually work

You think they'll be able to keep this going for the next 20 months? Is there even movement on the houses end? What's McConnel going to do, bring it up for a show vote monthly while dems just vote present?

The way Trump is going the only farms left will be own by big corps
Probably

But how Trump is negatively impacting farmers on trade is more complicated. And enough are seemingly convinced "he's doing it because he cares so darn much"

Coastal uppity SJW women are coming for your cows is a more potent attack and rallying cry. Expect them to talk about it like the death panels

Republican Sen. Mike Rounds, asked on CNN whether he's OK with Trump's hush payments to women who claim to have had sexual affairs with the president, says Trump "loves his family" and he calls the payments "a private matter that he didn't want to have discussed with his family."

I suspect if you are ever going to get some form of UBI in America you will absolutely have to brand it as anything but UBI. Call it a "guaranteed minimum tax refund" that everyone gets. Then say in order to not burden the IRS the refund is spread through the year.

Stop focusing on the affair aspect of it. These payments are felony campaign finance violations. The president is an un-indicted co-conspirator in multiple felonies and we have copies of the fucking checks, and his voice on a call arranging the payments as proof.

But everyone wants to talk about it like its JUST hushmoney payments to mistresses.

Elizabeth Landers @ElizLanders

Wow: in Senate Armed Services Subcommittee hearing just now, @SenMcSallyAZ said to witnesses present, "So like you, I am also a military sexual assault survivor," but she says she did not report and did not trust the system to do so while she was in the Airforce.

2:48 PM - Mar 6, 2019

AP: Sen. McSally, ex-Air Force pilot, says officer raped her
WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. Martha McSally, the first female fighter pilot to fly in combat, says she was raped in the Air Force by a superior officer.
The Arizona Republican, who served 26 years in the Air Force, made the disclosure during a Senate hearing on sexual assault allegations in the military.
She says she didn't report the assault because she didn't trust the system, and was ashamed and confused. McNally isn't naming the officer she says raped her.
McSally says she shares in the disgust of the failures of the military system and many commanders to address sexual violence. She says that's why the public must demand that higher-ranking officials be part of the solution.

Yes, with a fresh "And now the baby-killing socialists aren't even old, white men like us any more" twist.

Yang actually calls his program the Freedom Dividend and when asked why he just straight up says it polls better lol.
