Started some Cities, game is damn slow unless I am missing something.
Currently on trial, downloading pretty much every game to see what they are like. Some good coop shooters in there, which is nice.
Some 10 min and Uninstall titles in there too.

Press the Left stick and keep it pressed until the game speed up. At the speed 3 the game is quite dynamic (for a city building simulator).
I also did the same the first time i've played haha. That is what I am missing. Could only pause and unpause haha. Will give it another shot.
So my Xbox One X finally arrived. I don't know if this is the right thread for this, but oh man is this console clunky and unintuitive to navigate. I don't remember the 360 being like this. And I'm also shocked to find the download speeds are shit. If there's one thing I didn't expect to be worse than PS4 it's download speeds. I'm sure the act of playing a game on this thing is fine, but so far everything else.....yuck.
Oh, and LOL at there not being an option to turn off auto renew on the console itself. I had to google that. Like.....what?
Me too.
Dont be that guy. ;)So my Xbox One X finally arrived. I don't know if this is the right thread for this, but oh man is this console clunky and unintuitive to navigate. Yeah, the interface SUCKS compared to the 360. So unintuitive. They keep changing it, but all they have done is improve the speed by *removing features* like Kinect gestures and Snap. The navigation just gets worse and worse. For instance, changing headset volume is a JOKE: Press the guide button. Go right 3 times. Click A. Go down 3 times. Click A. Find your volume slider. Now *finally* change the volume. Don't even get me going on parties and joining games. It has improved over the utter HELL it was at launch, but it's still insanely convoluted and flakey compared to the 360 days. I'm a raging Xbox fanboi, but I'll admit the interface is utter shit.
Xbox Gamepass, though. Pure sweetness. I use Microsoft Rewards to get it free, but I'd pay for it if needed. (Also, the X is a AWESOME machine when it comes to playing games. Improves everything. Even old stuff. Love it. Best console ever.)
Exactly. I guess people need to learn the interface and the shortcuts to get things. The more I use it, the faster and better I get. Sure it's not perfect but the speed alone is making is much more bearable.I have no idea what you are doing then. You open the guide, go to the right and click audio. Takes 2 seconds.
I suck at building games, how good is this game at getting you to understand it?
This! I already have it on PC tho, so for me that wouldn't be a reason to download it. Steam Workshop really improves this game.
I would have tried Halo 5 first but it's like 90GB without even a smaller file size to start!
I just started Kingdom a few days ago. I am enjoying it - but am wondering if I playing it right...

I am just going left to right repeatedly, collecting coins, upgrading stuff - then waiting for coins again. Is this kinda what you are doing?
It's the first game that my girlfriend actually sat and watched me play instead of falling asleep on the couch.tried to tell people! a few of the endings are actually kinda tough to get, too. it's short enough to be a party game.
Starting a city is slow, but you can speed things up with the left stick (hold it to change speeds).Started some Cities, game is damn slow unless I am missing something.
I can't understand UI complaints either. Seems to be an accepted mainstream position.
Thanks for the insight. Will def continue playing.Yea. It's surprisingly complicated in regards to how you get money and how you should build.
You get coins from archers hunting deer and rabbits as well as from the merchant in the first two islands.
Anytime you see a camp where you can recruit more people or the merchant camp, make sure not to chop down the trees to the immediate right or left of the camp, it'll remove it from land.
Search for portals and the cliff portal and build defenses towards the cliff portal leaving the other side open more for farming and hunting if possible.
Upgrade the home base as quickly as you can because you get free walls as you upgrade it and it unlocks the builder for catapults as well as the banker. The banker is especially important to survive later in the game since in the winter you won't get gold from farms or hunters.
When did WWE games get so damn complicated yet not bother to provide any kind of tutorial or instructions of how to play said overly complicated gameplay? Just tried WWE 2K17 on gamepass. First WWE game I'v played since 09. My jaw dropped in how unintuitive this game is to play.
Yeah it's really weird, but I think it's only a bug with the indicator...Yeah this XB1 download speed is really starting to bug me. It makes no sense. Like, it says it's going at 60mb/s but at the same time downloads so slowly clearly doing less than 1mb/s. Reminds me of the PS3.

Are you guys using standard retail builds or are you in preview?Yeah it's really weird, but I think it's only a bug with the indicator...
In standby it's pretty much the same speed as my ps4.
Actually both are faster in standby, for me at least.
Just a normal Xbox One X.Are you guys using standard retail builds or are you in preview?
That is what I'm seeing, but the thing is that should be translating to games being downloaded much quicker than they are. It's very slow compared to what I get on PS4 and Steam.Couple follow-up questions:
1) Could it be that megabits vs. megabytes is what you're seeing? Megabits is what the UI shows for speed (mb/sec) since that's how ISPs advertise, while the download size is shown in megabytes (capital-MB) since that's the common notation for size. So if you're downloading at a speed of 60mb/sec that translates to 7.5 MB/sec in download size. I believe the PS4 and Steam both show MB/sec instead of mb/sec.
2) If that's not the issue, which UI surface are you looking at - the Games & Apps collection and download queue, or the store itself on a particular game's description page? They all pull from the same underlying data but there could be a display bug hiding somewhere in one or both of them.
3) Finally, which games are you seeing it with? All or just some?
With that info I can follow up with some people to see if there are any known issues around download speed display.

Yup, it is. put in over 50 hours. sweet
