I get that people certain games but with the glacial pace we are getting enhancements I don't want them using up slots on games with PC ports when there are still a ton of 360 exclusives to get to.
There's no other 360 game I really want.

Holy shit, I love the random reference to The Club. :)The Club
Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing
Virtua Fighter 5 Banilla
Virtua Tennis 3/4
Stranglehold
There's tonnes they could still do
The overreactions to this get to me. These are lead. engineers At this point they've done all the engineering needed for backcompat - the emulators are there and work fine, these aren't the people who were personally testing every single game. All it's saying is Microsoft are generally happy with the quality of their emulators (for good reason) and no longer require a full team to work on them.
Not, as for some reason y'all seem to think, that this is the death of backwards compatibility releases.

Since we're posting lists again. Here's my own list that'll probably never release in the near future. I'm ok, barely anytime for RDR and Crackdown.
Ninety Nine Nights
Chromehounds
Kingdoms Under Fire
Steel Battalion
Gun Valkyrie
Otogi 1 & 2
I haven't played rdr, BUT from what I've read, rdr was a better game in its time. Odyssey is... Fine... I got it based on good feedback from everyone but it feels like a big generic open world game. I just find it a bit bland. Purely personal opinion.I'd say play Odyssey and read a plot summary for RDR before starting its sequel.
So 2 weeks out from RDR2. I'm just about to start at new game, AC: Odyssey. But I started to think, as I've never played the original RDR, this might be my best time to do it. I have an X, so I can play it at 4k and from what I've seen it holds up well for an old title. If I don't do it now after playing 2 I imagine it will be hard to go back to and I may never do it.
What do you think? Put some time into RDR1 in the lead up to 2, or play Odyssey and march into RDR2 as a new experience?
Bruh, what are you waiting for? PLAY RED DEAD NOW.So 2 weeks out from RDR2. I'm just about to start at new game, AC: Odyssey. I totally forgot this was a thing. I barely recall the Game Informer cover story.
Start with the original RDR. Pretty sure the new one will be different enough for you to avoid game fatigue. I've been playing it myself. Although, I'll get a copy for RDR 2 well later than Day 1.So 2 weeks out from RDR2. I'm just about to start at new game, AC: Odyssey. I really want to see more OG XBox games release, especially Otogi, and Otogi 2. And Ninja Gaiden 2 is overdue on the 360 side.
That would be really interesting. Not sure if it's related but Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition will very likely be free on PlayStation Plus next month, so having the original be backwards compatible on Xbox One would be a nice counter (even though the Full Clip Edition is also on Xbox One). Some new 360 games on sale right now:
Xbox 360:
Bulletstorm - $6.59
Bound By Flame - $3.99
Contrast - $1.99
Duke Nukem 3D - $3.29
Duke Nukem Manhattan - $3.29
Farming Simulator 15 - $4.99
Faery - $1.49
Final Exam - $1.99
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas - $9.74
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax - $9.99
RAW - $1.99
Rock of Ages - $2.49
SEGA Vintage Collection Golden Axe - $4.99
Trine 2 - $7.49
Duke Nukem 3D has never been on sale in the past 3 years and Bulletstorm hasn't in the past 2.5 years, so I'm guessing these will be BC pretty soon. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax may as well too.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is listed as BC in Major Nelson blog post about this weeks sale. Could be an error, or its coming to BC today. That would be really interesting. It's also very interesting that Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project is BC but Duke Nukem 3D is not. Same goes for Persona 4 Arena being BC but not Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.
Also, before anyone buys any of the games MauroNL listed above, make sure what you want is compatible on Xbox One or not.

That was from last week and expires in a few hours, so you were in luck.Daytona USA is also on sale but its not coming up for me in any of the sales pages.
Just hopped onto the website and bought it there directly. That was a nice surprise as I was under the false impression it had been delisted!

Same. What is especially disappointing/frustrating/confusing is that, if you think about it, we were only a couple years or so away from enhanced BC games being available to a much wider audience. We're assuming MS has abandoned X enhancements because the X audience is too small to be worth it, but I say that shows a remarkable lack of forward thinking on their part. With Xbox Scarlett and Xcloud, far more people would've had access to 4K BC games, and it could've been a really compelling reason to jump onboard with both. Now no one gets 4K enhancements. :(It's a shame that the Enhanced for One X program for 360 titles appears to have been abandoned. It played a part in my decision to finally buy an Xbox One & is one of the things that has impressed me most - even before I had the opportunity to play in 4K.
iirc the XBLA version was delisted for quite some time.
You shut you goddamn mouthRDR is a mediocre game with bad controls and uneven writing.
Odyssey is a much better, more mature game.
You have a Max Payne 3 avatar, so I doubt you know anything about good controls or writing ;P
love you, bro

All this stuff has to work on future Consoles. Otherwise, what was the point? I'd be livid if they dropped support for BC games on Scarlett. The library they have now is fantastic in large part thanks to BC.Honestly, I thought they'd drop support completely after like a year and only ever put the most popular 360 games up, but the fact that it's still going (albeit slowly) and they're putting up niche stuff and giving a second life to some titles, I'm impressed. I do wonder about the future of the service though, what happens if they theoretically run out of titles to put up? Will they allow BC games to be streamed and played on my PC eventually? Will they all carry over natively to the next iteration of Xbox?
I waited since day one for the MGSHD collection and when it finally came, that felt like closure to me. I'll be excited if they talk more about the service at the X018 event but I'm not holding my breath.
Ooh! Very interesting. I guess we'll find out at noon today. ;)Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is listed as BC in Major Nelson blog post about this weeks sale. Could be an error, or its coming to BC today.

I'm hoping one of the things they do is a universal solution for BC so you don't need them to package a game, it just works physically or digitally. One can dream.
