It's not a wii gameHow is it even possible for it to be that poorly optimised? It's a fucking Wii game.
Yes, someone told me the same thing in the other thread, but I have no idea what does this mean lolJershJopstin Just looked into it and Breath of the Wild uses clockspeeds 20% higher than Xenoblade 2.
Anyone complaining about resolution in a game is beyond toxic.
Probably because Torna and Definitive Edition run on a new engine. How much can we trust this analysis? Even Xenoblade 2 ran at 720p in docked mode according to Digital Foundry's analysis, so the original running at less sounds definitively weird.
Yep. Toxic used to be exclusive to stuff like the dota fanbase or ones like that. Now it's used to describe anyone that had any qualms about anything.
Why is the new engine almost as bad as the old one?Probably because Torna and Definitive Edition run on a new engine.

Are people reading and understanding what dynamic resolution means and what might be the actual resolution in the game? Or do we see the smallest numbers and just shit on the game
Fixed the title, but damn. 720P docked is still ridiculous. Also I really need an analysis to show just how often it drops. Might buy it and played it on cemu instead of Switch, or just dolphin my Wii version.
The new engine is better graphically but this obviously means its more demanding.
Yeah. That's what I meant :PCebu is wii u, not switch
Yuzu (switch emu) is making good strides but it's not great yet
It won't hit 20 bucksYeah it's been retextured and remodeled and has more advanced lighting and materials and reorchestrated music and revamped interface and new playable post game story chapter.
But it's still potato resolution so I'll wait for it to hit 20 bucks.
Most people will read this and assume the worst case scenarios but I imagine most of the time it'll be closer to the max possible for the current mode. The numbers themselves mean nothing.
This is also true. It's going to be frustrating to read and even more frustrating to see people not give it a shot, but remember that it's their loss and on Nintendo to advertise the game. That's what I think too. The way it's being farmed by certain people is a bit disingenuous.
I'm not cancelling my preorder either.

Real world scenario: playing it since yesterday and it looks bad.
Is the top picture on handheld? Because artstyle notwithstanding, it doesn't look much better than the original Wii release. The resolution in the case is contriburting a severe decline in the IQ

Uh, was this just an admission of piracy, or are you a reviewer...?
How is it toxic to complain about a game running at 540p-380p in 2020?I swear most of you love to complain just to complain. This forum can be so toxic sometimes.
Almost every preview has said it looks great and runs well for the most part but so many of you want to shit on it before even playing it. I have a 4K tv and 1080p games look fine. And it's a shitty 1080p too...
In 2020 most people would prefer playing a game that at minimum achieves 720p on their 4K TVs
It looks like EPD games use higher clocks in portable mode, which would make up some of the difference. Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey run at 460Mhz whereas Xenoblade only runs at 384Mhz.
Yeah it did, that's actually mostly how I played it

It's not enhanced. It's basically been remade from scratch. And it runs on the same engine XC2 and Torna do, so the numbers in the ini aren't anything surprising.
