I think Stadia is a good idea, but with mediocre execution. But after seeing this, that execution was bumped down to terrible. That's incredibly insane.
I remember when people asked if that was the case on PS+, and how surprised I felt every time because why would you lose access to them?

Still not comparable. Your Stadia subscription doesn't regularly net you access to free games, your games you buy are still accessible regardless of subscription.

If that is what they mean, then their post is really, really misleading. They take the time to precise that you can't access the games you had free or with a discount. Not including games you buy without a discount.
If what you said was the case, wouldn't they just say so? Like say it straight, you just can't play games on Stadia without Stadia Pro until the full service launches.

This has to be a joke, right? Tons of people I know occasionally sub to stuff like Xbox Live to use certain discounts and keep those games once the sub is gone. I understand why you don't get to keep games included in monthly subs, but stuff you bought? This is unreal.
That be the equivalent of PlayStation or Xbox taking away your games you purchased using your PSN/Gold discounts if it lapses. That has to be illegal.
To be fair this is a tricky problem for Google because at $10 a month, any AAA sale will have the issue where its likely cheaper to sub for just a month for the discount (thinking about when stadia base it out)

I refuse to believe that you're denied the ability to play any game bought at a discount once your subscription is over. That has to be an error.

So, I have no experience to comment with as I've always been subbed to XBLG, but I know there are Gold discounts. They work when you're not Gold, right? I assume the same with...well everything else.
