I can't believe I didn't think about using both Labyrinth of Nightmare and Tragedy as a combo. It could've helped me out against Serpent Night Dragon and Jinzo.

There are quite a lot of interesting cards in this new box. I'm really excited about Aliens and Gishki, and it doesn't seem we're getting a "bad" UR like in other boxes.
There's also news about the next two Structure Decks, D-Heroes and Dragons (again). I'm not interested at all in the Dragon SD, but the D-Hero SD includes some of the new D-Heroes, Vision Vyon and D Cubed!
Mirror Wall is a good alternative, but Wall of Disruption has the advantage of being a SR in a Mini Box. I'd rather spend the gems trying to get WoD than trying to get Mirror Wall, especially since Mirror Wall and Manju are the only "good" cards in that box (IIRC)
Water decks are gonna be op with sea stealth attack but man I'm broke only 4.5k gems and those are for a 2nd floodgate (probably) or maybe more cosmic cyclones for the incoming a legendary ocean spam  so will have to skip for now :(
I've been messing around with Citadel Whale and Sea Stealth Attack and yeah it's pretty OP. You can even banish your whale before Wall of Disruption's effect hits you.

Um... so Citadel Whale seems kinda OP. It +Sea Stealth Attack is a really potent combination.
Citadel Whale can be special summoned from your hand or graveyard, and when it is special summoned you can bring out a Stealth Sea Attack and set it. The whale itself is able to negate any card that targets it once per turn (making Enemy Controller worthless), and Sea Stealth Attack can make your face-up backrow completely immune from destruction for a turn (which can be activated on both players' turns), save the whale from Mirror Wall/Wall of Disruption, and gives the whale a permanent Super Rush Headlong effect.
Off the top of my head, the number of ways to counter this given our current card options is limited to such:
-Cosmic Cyclone (banishes instead of destroying trap/spell cards; make sure you target the field spell since that makes Sea Stealth Attack useless, unless you think they have another one in their hand)
-Card effects that return cards to the hand (probably a good idea to return Stealth Sea Attack to give yourself 2 or 3 turns with it not in play)
-Card effects that either don't target or target more than one monster (Windstorm of Etaqua, Curse of Anubis)
-Card effects that prevent cards from being banished...? I actually don't know if this exists.
...And that's basically it. I feel really sad that my Magnets deck will falter hard here since it makes Triamid Pulse completely useless (can't target the whale because it negates the destruction effect, can't target the field spell or Sea Stealth Attack because they could just banish the whale or any other monster). My only option in my current deck, other than immediately destroying their weaker monsters with Triamid Pulse so that they can't be tributed to bring in the whale, is to get lucky with getting Tackle Crusader into the graveyard at the right time so I can return a Sea Stealth Attack to the hand. I may have no choice but to put in a Cosmic Cyclone or 2.
Man, it's things like this that makes me wish they'd put in side decks. I'd never run Cosmic Cyclone for my Magnets deck otherwise since Attack the Moon! works just fine.
Man, I can't even cheese this deck with Time Wizard with my Luck On Your Side deck. They'd just banish the whale after I activate its effect.
EDIT: I have no idea if Sea Stealth Attack will work with a Floodgated Citadel Whale. The card makes no mention of your water monster needing to be face-up.
EDIT2: I've been informed that the monster does indeed need to be face-up, so Floodgate or other card effects to flip a monster face-down can indeed mitigate the effect of Sea Stealth Attack.

Oh they need to be face up? For a moment I thought floodgate would be useless and my gems would have gone to waste lol.
I think banishing their A legendary ocean will be the best route to take (x3 cosmic cyclones) since they could just tribute their floodgated monsters (maybe?), problem would be drawing cyclones faster than them bringing it on the field, or if they run umi as well (making it x4+ field cards) then it's gg but I really doubt it since it would affect consistency.
Another option to deal with sea stealth attack is clogging their backrow too (xing+gyokkokus or electro), basically pin down the trap before they activate it, but you have to be really lucky I guess and pin it on their set turn so they can't chain it.
I might have to stop pursuing for 2nd floodgate and go for more cosmic cyclones I guess :/, man being f2p sucks.
Also aliens have potential as well and they seem quite cheap to build besides running the new box once, only the triangle card is SR the rest is R or N and they seem to be strong but we will see how they impact the meta.
I just hope I can find a decent way for my aromages deck to keep doing good from now on, is basically the only decent deck I have besides dinos. I could try building hazy fire fist but I would need to dip into blades of spirit more and get the fire fist cards as well and man I'm just broke qq
Edit: nvm about clogging their backrow with xing and gyokkou since the abyss guy can return those cards to the hand.
Cosmic Cyclone so far is the best card against the stealth whale combo. Floodgate can be by passed if Stealth Attack is already active and you will only be able to pin it with Xing unless they have effects on toggle.

I don't have a single Galaxy Cyclone, so I'm thinking about Gravelstorm, especially since I can combo it with, say, Powerful Rebirth or Mirror Wall, and can also serve as a mini AMA. I think Closed Forest would be a good tech too, although pure Beast decks are rare. But yeah, banishing ALO/Umi is the best strategy against it.

I spent about 2000 gems I had saved and I got Slate Warrior and Legendary Fisherman II, and 1 Whale, 1 Mind Augus, 1 Gishki Aquamirror and 2 Warrior of Atlantis. Also I hadn't noticed about all Alien support was released, so they're my main priority with this Pack.
I don't know what you're using, but Planet Pathfinder can get you ALO at the cost of your Normal Summon and is a machine for any tech you're using. Moray yields better results the more monsters you run and otherwise is a completely dead card in hand. Planet Pathfinder at the very least can be a chump blocker.

I posted my deck on the previous page. There's no room for Pathfinder, and I'm using the one copy of the "tribute to destroy a trap/spell" monster until I can level Mako enough for Bugroth.
Using a new Jaden deck themed around the heroes and having Keith be the Machine guy now that I unlocked him, I realized how crazy the combo of Cyber-Stein/Aegis of Gaia is. Just have to combo those two and I can summon any fusion monster that isn't blocked by restriction (Which ironically most of the HERO fusions are, but his skill makes it easy to normal fusion summon those). Ultimate Blue Eyes doesn't count so I'm trying to pull that. I don't know if Five Headed Dragon is a real card in DL yet but if that's a thing I'd also like to try and get that
EDIT: FHD is in the game but it can't be special summoned with Stein D:
I was trying to get unhappy girl to farm, ended spending 4k gems because I got annoyed she would not drop. I got two and then realized she doesn't work as well as she used to, then I realized i had a better deck anyway.

So in trying to get some pieces for my ocean deck, I stumbled upon getting 2 of each super rare I needed for 2 other decks. Got 2 Horus Lvl 6 and 2 BOXers. Horus deck is already doing well with the hilarious edition of Book of Taiyou to help with Floodgate lmao

Gr...grinding Tea up to level 38 and this is gonna take forever. Even after I get Dark Burning Attack I still need to wait for the Arkana unlock event to roll around again so I can make an actually decent Dark Magician deck.
I'm a little wary about the "Cards that have been available for a certain amount of time" thing. I mean, part of the problem is that it takes ages for new cards to be available. I mean, I just got the third Rosemary and I'm waiting for a third Jasmine, and if this new system only affects old cards, this doesn't change a thing.
Oh well, this new system is great for new players, as they can get all of the old cards early in the game.

I got Ties of the Brethren yesterday and while the cost is hefty, two monsters out of the deck is still a great play, but I struggle to think about a deck that can use it effectively, other than Magnets.
I used to play them back in my TCG days and they were good, and they seem good in this format and cardpool. Maybe their only problem is that they don't have an "easy" Boss monster, and that they target and require your opponent to have monsters.
My main concern is that if it is banished for the first effect of the card it will return without counters, so either you have to sacrifice Crystal Core to protect Stealth Attack and others, or you have no real protection for Steal Attack. Anyway, I hope you can test it out soon, I'd like to see how many decks can make use of it without resorting to being a Citadel Whale deck with techs.

Oh riiiiiiight. I think it would remove them since I used Interdimensional Matter Transporter with Silent Magician 4, and her counters went away when she came back.
