I somehow was able to come back against a Citadel Whale deck with Aromages lol. A combination of Storm (which forced my opponent to banish their Legendary Fisherman II with Sea Stealth Attack) and Rose Lover bringing in a Bergumot allowed me to do over 4K damage in one turn, even with a Citadel Whale still on the field. I even misplayed and accidentally targeted Citadel Whale with Rosemary a turn earlier, but I fortunately had another one in the wings.
That said, I think that decks with oppressive card destruction (of which Aliens, Citadel Whale, and Archfiends all specialize in) will be the way going forward. It's going to be hard for standard beatdown decks to shine if their monsters keep getting destroyed by card effects. Dinos and Gladiator Beasts are gonna take a heavy hit from the release of the new main pack, in particular.
By the way, if you guys haven't gotten any Cosmic Cyclones yet, I think it may be time to start investing Galactic Origins. That card is going to help with so many match-ups going forward: Cyber Angels, Magnets, any of the new archetype decks in the new pack, etc. Plus, it's still useful in most other match-ups, too.
