Oh, Tommy knows ALL about Roblox. He's sued them, after all.Plus there's stuff like Roblox, where it's free (to start), has a myriad of gameplay types and works on hardware the parents already own.
You forgot the time he accused nintendo of pushing sex games on the switch
That on DOES actually have a video chronicling it:And the time he accidentally revealed his desktop on a stream showing a "Nintendo violence" folder.
Along with the "Haters" folder.
Tommy Tallarico said:One of the big issues I have, with the Nintendo Switch, is that there's more pornographic material and violent material and killing than any other system out there.
- The time Tommy said Amico had hundreds of millions of sprites on their dev hardware.
- The time Tommy said Amico will do 2D work that the PS4, Xbox One or even PS5 can't achieve because of their "2D first" development focus.
isn't the amico using a 6 year old budget cellphone processor? The idiot Tommy Tallarico's out-of-date child-like (mis)understanding of 2D graphics processing from the 90s launch of SEGA Saturn and Sony PSX.
Nearly, it's using a 3-year-old budget processor for IoT devices that's roughly comparable in performance to a 6-year-old budget phone processor.isn't the amico using a 6 year old budget cellphone processor?
It's such a weird line of attack, because it just leaves the layman scratching their head, with no idea what the hell Tommy is even talking about. The "Nintendo = child porn" line originating with Tommy is now breathlessly parroted by the AtariAge faithful like that unhinged nutbag Swami.
No, there will be no more general threads, if you want to talk about the Amico, start a new thread about a specific topic.
..Al
Please reopen that thread, why close it just because of a few bad apples. I for one would rather follow one thread than keep jumping around all over the place, I'm sure it doesn't make any odds to you.
Why not? What have you got against Amico fans? I don't think I recall you posting anything on there Amico related.
Videos can only do so much for something that has been delayed, especially something that has been delayed multiple times. It was a small audience that probably gotten even smaller. I wager there maybe double digit folks in that group at best.Really does feel like AA is growing increasingly frustrated with the Amico topic; which is odd as you'd think if production had indeed started and TT is producing all these "deep dive" videos than there would actually be stuff to talk about.
It is interesting to note that this comes in conjunction with Intellivision opening a private Facebook community to communicate directly with fans. TT hasnt' posted to AA since Friday so it's possible he picked up his ball and went home and the AA mods know it.

Could be fun again if/when it releasesI guess there aren't any more fun Amico conversations to be had. Just miserable ones left.
and if you don't like what they saying, wait five minutes
It's Tommy's console and Tommy is my friend damn it!
Fuck this is so Sad Tommy had a good thing with Video games live... wonder how much money he will lose on this.
They did.
They did.
I think they had to know there was no way they were going to hit that target and it was just a cynical way to keep enthusiasm alive.

I am not an expert, but considering we hear about new phones all the time from the FCC, way before they are announced. I am thinking that can't be right. Unless they producing a bunch of stuff not to sellTommy said that they don't actually need FCC certification to produce the consoles, just to sell them.
So, either they're doing something incredibly dumb and building some units that they may end up being unable to sell, or he's just pulling things out of his butt again.

It would be amusing if after all Tommy's legal threats he's the one that ends up getting sued.I wonder how Nintendo would react if they found out Tommy was accusing Nintendo of having child-violence/abuse on their consoles...
I don't usually back seat mod, especially across other forums, but this is a pretty easy mod call. When a single topic is generating 75%+ of a subforum's posts, the people running that subforum have fucked up, and they should have recognised that and done something about it long before now.Something is going on at AtariAge with the 1400+ page thread locked now too.
It's true that you can produce devices and then get FCC certification for selling them later. Nobody does that at any kind of scale though, since if the FCC says no, anything produced up to that point is useless. The fallback at that point is hand-disassembling units and swapping non-compliant components for compliant ones. What seems to have happened here is that someone told Tallarico that they knew that the console wasn't going to be produced soon because if it was then it'd have FCC certification, and Tallarico's response was to suggest that maybe Intellivision would be doing an incredibly stupid thing, didn't think of that, huh, did you, Amico hater?I am not an expert, but considering we hear about new phones all the time from the FCC, way before they are announced. So you are guessing that Tommy and Co's brilliant legal defence when this gets tangled in courts for fraud is "but look at how incompetent we are?"I don't usually back seat mod, especially across other forums, but this is the a pretty easy mod call. Kids aren't the audience, Tommy's only using the family friendly stuff as a way to get investors' money. Tommy knows that the only people who want this are the small audience of 40-50 year olds perpetually stuck firmly in the past, but that doesn't make for a good investor pitch.
Has anyone noticed just how bad literally every single number is when it comes to gauging interest in the Amico? The video views, Twitter likes and retweets, even subreddit subscribers, all about as terrible as they could be.
If it gets to that point their defence is going to be the "pointing at positive YouTube videos" defence, and saying that they technically did ship some non-zero number of consoles. So you are guessing that Tommy and Co's brilliant legal defence when this gets tangled in courts for fraud is "but look at how incompetent we are?"
What set him off?It seems Tommy has taken his ball and gone home now his thread has been locked
Especially amusing when you remember how many times he's said people are too sensitive.
Al closed Tommy's "Fun Amico Conversations" thread along with a couple of other general type threads saying they need to be more specific. Also there has been a little more criticism on there since the Battle Tanks fiasco.

I guess Tommy is sticking to his private Facebook group now.
