Torque in Nuketown? Campers wet dreamAlso I have been sleeping on Torque in Nuketown. Dude rocks there.
Holding a side ≠ camping.
I wasn't saying you're a camper. I was saying that in Nuketown Torque is campers wet dream :)
Ugh, that sounds so cheap.Nothing better than doing a great Blackout match, getting to the final 1v1, then the enemy turns on the lagswitch, uses it to practically teleport to the other side of the circle and snipe me.

Wow, skills. No seriously why is this shit still a thingNothing better than doing a great Blackout match, getting to the final 1v1, then the enemy turns on the lagswitch, uses it to practically teleport to the other side of the circle and snipe me.

I had bad luck in Blackout yesterday. I took the "land between the windmills and camp it out" approach. Mostly because I was hoping to get lucky and unlock Nomad's Numbers outfit in the process. First time I was all set up — lvl 2 armor, 2 trauma kits (1 used, 1 spare), good weapons, solid support items — and went to the transmission tower near the very edge of the map NE of Turbine/SE of Asylum, thinking I could set up shop there. I wasn't there for even 10 seconds when a quad with a sensor dart on it arrived. Dude wore level 3 armor and had a concussion grenade. You do the math.
I have the worst luck with enemy quads in general. For some reason they always manage to run me over in the middle of nowhere.
Second attempt: got sniped in the desert from at least 150 - 200 meters away.
Third attempt: made it to the final 6. Spotted a dude and try to snipe him myself. Koshka, so of course it didn't kill. Dude hides behind a rock, equips a Paladin, jumps to align his aim and jumps again to one-shot me.
At least I can somewhat reliably get into top 15s right now. Feels like I am learning the mindset of surviving in Blackout. Camping ain't pretty, but moving for no good reason just gets me killed. Once you get to top 50 - 30, the match basically becomes a big game of hide and seek.
Ugh, that sounds so cheap.
I can't understand these fuckers. Why do you even want to win like that?
Finally! Probably the main reason I've yet to really get into it. Have they released any details? There is a patch with big changes to the loot system coming next week.
Not really. If your team is aggressive, Torque is kinda worthless on Nuketown. Between constant spawn flipping and Engineer being so popular with lower level players you're just not doing enough to justify not using another specialist.I wasn't saying you're a camper. I was saying that in Nuketown Torque is campers wet dream :)
No, it rewards the risk. The whole single melee to finish people on Blackout is legit one of the worst features in any battle royale game on the market.
One of the biggest frustrations in this game. So many times when I unload several LMG (Titan) rounds into an opponent, only for them to turn around and casually kill me with a Maddox or SMG. My bullets registered: 4-5. Theirs: maybe 1-2.I am also losing gunfights that I should never lose either. How does an SMG beat a Swordfish at range when I'm hitting him as well?
It is true he has less worth when your team is very aggressive. But I disagree with the Engineer comment. Even if razor wires and barricades don't kill, they still cut down on the routes enemies can rush you from, which makes it easier to defend a side. They also can't be destroyed easily with gunfire, since you can't afford being in the open for more than a few seconds. So unless they have two Zeros running around, Torque can be of major value. Not really. If your team is aggressive, Torque is kinda worthless on Nuketown. Between constant spawn flipping and Engineer being so popular with lower level players you're just not doing enough to justify not using another specialist.
I disagree. If I knock you from mid-range I must consider my options, including risking myself to finish you and put your teammate(s) at a disadvantage. There is no risk. It's the go to for any close quarter combat situations and makes a mockery of the DBNO status. The majority of the time you can't even react to a team mate getting knocked before they are punched. It's all fine and well when it's you doing the cheap finish but it's just another of the few mechanics that make Blackout at times feel like a big TDM rather than BR match with a story and memorable encounters.
So, let me get this straight for a sec. Every single day I've played, I at least go positive by at least a 2.0 KDR in most matches. I go on tonight after work, and every single match I join is in progress, and my team is losing and I am barely going positive at all, never mind over a 2.0 KDR. I am also losing gunfights that I should never lose either. How does an SMG beat a Swordfish at range when I'm hitting him as well?
It's the biggest load of shit I have seen. It's this type of inconsistency that drives me away from the prior games after a couple of months. It's totally out of your hands no matter what you do.
EDIT: Literally was just thrown into a game of TDM where the enemy team was on 67 kills with an attack chopper up, mantis and a UAV all at once. While my team was on 25 kills with nothing, lol.
Got the Titan to max level. For some reason I still need to remind myself this weapon is actually automatic. I keep pressing R2 for each shot. I have no idea why I do it and it fucks up my K/D ratio.
Is the Oppressor mod worth it? The description isn't clear on what it does exactly, except "oppress". Yeah, I kind of got that from the name...
In any case, I am definitely keeping the FMJ I & II attachments. I love taking down UAVs and choppers so much, as well as killing people through walls.
For now back to the Swordfish, though. I used that token for nothing if I keep ignoring it like this.

I don't think a lag switch would work this way on this kind of server. You could just shoot the enemy player while they are standing still because the server isn't receiving any of their inputs.
The last circle was in the middle of nowhere, with two obstacles: a rock and a truck next to each other on the bottom side of the circle. I was healing up on the left of the rock, while the guy ran somewhere on the right. I heard his footsteps on the right so I was ready to turn around the rock and shoot him. The game lagged for a couple seconds, I couldn't see him anymore, suddenly he's like 50 metres away on the other side of the circle without ever crossing my sight (he should have been in my view for multiple seconds, plus he couldn't have traversed all that in such a low amount of time, except maybe with the grappling hook which did not happen on my screen). I see him in the last moment, but he takes out the sniper rifle and one shots me before I can even hit him. No lag the entire match, no issues whatsoever, and then suddenly the endgame does this? I played online games long enough to hardly believe this was coincidental. But who knows, I guess.
The operator mod is alright. It's makes your enemy screen shake whenever you're not hitting him but shots being very close to him. He won't be able to aim at you with a clear vision. Used to run it but not anymore

Whattt? GKS has been great for me as a pseudo SMG/AR gun. Decent fire-rate, incredibly accurate and great range for an SMG.
Okay that's cool. Fuck that gun forever.Whattt? GKS has been great for me as a pseudo SMG/AR gun. Decent fire-rate, incredibly accurate and great range for an SMG.
Damn ok, forget I said anything.
Thanks! Looks decent, but not really worth the three points. I already have enough trouble choosing attachments as it is, since FMJ I & II don't leave much room for anything else.
Looked through some of that guy's other videos and he definitely sold me on the Hades, btw. That operator mod looks like a ton of fun.
I can see it working better on smaller maps like Nuketown and Summit. I could set aside a custom class for an oppressor loadout just for these maps, to try it out, and run the FMJ setup everywhere else.I can attest to its effectiveness. I was sniping on nuketown and this titan guy would just rock my entire world, couldn't shoot shit even though he was missing all the time.
You simply wont be able to play your DLC maps while in a party with friends.how do the new maps work when you have the season pass but your friends don't?
splitting the playerbase seems like a dumb idea
That's insane!OMGGGGG 154 kills!!! New personal record!
Uploading a 2 part video!
An update on the upcoming patch and what we can expect int he further future https://www.reddit.com/r/Blackops4/comments/aezyr2/jan_11_update_a_preview_of_next_weeks_111_update/
The new looting system will be a game changer, especially for end game looting where you're just looking for health or something specific off an enemy and you have to get it fast. Can't wait for this.
Installed Black Ops 4. Spawns and matchmaking are still absolute trash I see.
About what I expected from a Treyarch game really.
Yeah, but I hate battle royal games. :/
