Allegedly, according to a few posts on Reddit:
Nothing, not even any additions to the Ultima fight with Leviathan.
That sucks. Was hoping becoming a "worthy" vessel would change things a bit for Clive

It turns out FF16 is way more fun when you're not relying on Diamond Dust. Thanks for the ideas - I love this build! Still not completely sure how to optimize it, though, so I'd appreciate any tips you have
Pile Drive definitely feels out of place. Agreed that it's nice burst when surrounded, but it just doesn't synergize as well. Looking forward to see if the DLC abilities can make an even more fun magic caster
It's true. I think may have mentioned it in this very thread, but I think they need more limits on the big time-stopping attacks in future iterations on this game style. Like maybe you can only equip one "Ultimate" attack or something. The game is better when you're trying to weave together and properly use the real-time abilties.
They should make "ultimate" its own equip slot instead of making ultimates waste normal ability slots.

Honestly going to wait a few years to play this now, I dont generally have a desire to replay games unless their post-release content is worth it to me. Was hoping this would have been one personally but Im just not feeling it anymore
People actually want them sell a different ending with the DLC to the main game?

Not "different", but expanded to include more scenes and more answers?
honestly I don't even like that the DLC is somewhat related to the ending. it was good enough as it is, and felt very final (aha). Not "different", but expanded to include more scenes and more answers?
and 7 and 10 endings are perfect, dont @ meEspecially since every FF since 7, with the exception of 9 and kinda 12, has an ambigious or very limited in scope ending. 16 may be ambigious but not nearly as nerve wracking as 7 was back in the day or even 10.

ambiguous endings are freaking great
i fucking love 7's ending tbh. yeah, maybe we all got wiped because we are fucking horrible beings. what better question to ponder for the next few weeks than that? They can be hit or miss. 7's was a big rough because it was such an amazing game and you wanted to know happened next instead of being given a vague hint 500 years after. 10 though did it just right and there were enough hints from the Fayth what would happen.
it's just a matter of opinion, really. lots of FF have polemic endings. hell Rebirth just launched and boy did people talk about it lolI like OG VII and its ending
I really like X and love its ending
I love XVI and hate its ending
It's not what does or doesn't happen, but the delivery. If XVI had pulled off its ending then there wouldn't be such pervasive complaints about it.

I'm just surprised more people never made the connections with Tactics ending, which XVI was obviously calling back to.
Remember the decade of arguments and speculation before Matsuno just answered in a tweet?
Ironically the ultima weapon is no longer the most powerful weapon in the game even BEFORE this new DLC came out, so there's almost no reason to push for it aside from bragging rights.
The Omega DLC pretty much immediately gives you a better weapon than the NG+ exclusive superweapon, lol.
i mean, why cant they do that? our anguish is similar to their anguish in a way. its sad and things can get better, or maybe they cant and things will continue to be sad.My issue isnt really the ambiguity, its the fact that they leave certain characters devastated regardless of the abiguity, then leave us with a "hopeful" epilogue.
If the ending is sad, then show it, dont dance around it. If its happy, then dont make the characters feel like they lost someone important and then not address it lol.
Oh. So I should probably do that then before starting it and then not have to worry about any of it then, huh?
I do too. Legitimately one of the best characters in the series.
Well, Yoshida told my own colleague we should just headcanon whichever route we prefer on this front, so I've prepared myself to accept this with finality. I'll just mentally tack on a few extra seconds, and then it'll be better for me. So it goes!
Well it doesnt help that he recently revealed there's an actual anwer to the is Clive alive? debacle but wont share it lol

it's almost impossible for ambiguous endings to be actually bad or actually good imo. it's 100% dependent on someone's particular tastes, moreso than the beggining or the middle of a story/game/book
I can understand that, but it's said at least once throughout the game that Clive and Co's actions will, in some ways, make things worse before they get better. I think it may have even been mentioned that they're not likely to live to see the positive outcomes of the change they make. They are essentially throwing the world back into a dark age, after all. There are many games in which someone with Clive's goals and motivations would be portrayed as the *villain* of the story. My issue isnt really the ambiguity, its the fact that they leave certain characters devastated regardless of the abiguity, then leave us with a "hopeful" epilogue.

As others have said, FFX is fucking devastating the first time you play it, but its such a good ending because you KNOW whats happening, even if its massively bittersweet. You dont in this game, you can only guess the outcome.
Yeah. Even before the epilogue, the story ends with a new life being born to do as they please in this new world, and on a rising sun, a new day, and a smile. The epilogue isn't the only hopeful bit of the ending. Even before that it conveys a hopeful tone.
for NA yes. Its been out in other parts of the world for a few hours.
Lmao just did that. I swear almost every second sidequest in XVI is to get a flower/plant for someone.Maybe I'm just a hater but I don't like how the early side quests are quick fetch quests to open up the store and blacksmith. Didn't even get to pick the flowers myself, just hounded the people already there to give me their flowers ðŸ˜
