Also I gave my old computer to my sister so she got an i5 3570k and GTX 970 computer for free, I just bought her a 1tb hard drive and threw Ubuntu on it (at her boyfriend's request), bought her a cheapo mouse and keyboard and she was pretty happy.

With her and my luck it will suffer a critical failure in the next few months despite lasting me like 6 years (with a few upgrades) with no real issues

What old CPU you got? My desktop PC is 11 years old and still has a Core2Duo, but I hardly ever turn it on these days. I think the last game I played from start to finish on it was the Ulimtate HD edition of RE4 which released in 2014.

Okay, Jintor , I have figured it out. Just watch a playthrough of the Scientology mission and then put the game down. That's probably the game at its best in all regards. Sorry if I seemed aggressive or accusatory; not what I was going for. Also, when you say the direction feels drawn out, I think I get why: video game mocap is theatre-in-the-round and Ubisoft often does not seem to edit scenes down for cinematic timing, unlike, say, ND or Kojima or many others. Assassin's Creed, WD, Splinter Cell...the cutscenes just kinda linger.

And that came out six years ago

I have an i7 920 with a Radeon 6970 that does a decent job, but I am in desperate need of an upgrade. Not sure when I do that, but it's getting to the point where if I want to play anything new on PC, I need to build a new one.
