Why are you lying to yourself?Unrealistic expectations followed by massive disappointment is pretty much the entire life of Switch on Media Create threads.
Switch prices remain at extraordinary levels for third week in a row, I wouldn't expect any significant improvement at stock situation.
These is the price you can buy a Lite in Japan right now if you don't expect to be among the lucky of lotteries.Nintendo should make the Switch 2 a super premium product, going for the price of U$400,00.
I don't know, but after golden week I wouldn't expect to see many shipments. Nintendo will try to ship as much as possible for GW, and as Chris pointed before, there is also the west and Nintendo will prioritize it.
By the end of May is when maybe I expect the increased shipments to arrive, and by June finally solved. Just a guess.
But everyone knows it will be a high number. Just what defines high? That's why predictions are about the number attached to it. Just wanted to say that.
Your thread was merged with the MC one (here is your OP now)Hey off question but did my thread get deleted??? If so how come cuz I can't find it anywhere... :(
Not sure I understand the logic of doing this, especially since on the other hand there are 23 (!!!) different FFVIIR threads on this gaming forum - and no mod thought to move all or at least most of them to be under the FFVIIR OT...
Its true that a download copy can give more profits and it doesnt allow people to resell it as a used copy, but not having stock in stores can also mean that they lose out on sales for those who only wants a physical copy. And it being a single player game, it means that trade in for used copies can happen quicker, so it could work against them if they dont have new copies available (otherwise people might just get a used copy of thats all thats available as far as physical copies go).I know it sounds like a conspiracy theory but since stock is determined by orders from the retailers part of me thinks Square Enix is all too happy to not keep a huge batch of copies around for immediate restock so they can drive the customer to the higher margin digital copy. That no doubt helps cut down used copies flooding the market after the launch period as well.
Shame. Well be sure to ckeck the 24th one I'm about to open: "Hey guys, what do you think of FF7R main menu screen?"Not sure I understand the logic of doing this, especially since on the other hand there are 23 (!!!) different FFVIIR threads on this gaming forum - and no mod thought to move all or at least most of them to be under the FFVIIR OT...
I know the exact number because at some point the entire gaming forum turned into a FFVIIR forum, a game I am presently not even interested in, so I put all of these threads on ignore. I counted them now in my ignore list before posting
Hahaha, half of them sound exactly like that...Shame. Well be sure to ckeck the 24th one I'm about to open: "Hey guys, what do you think of FF7R main menu screen?"

Its not only limited to FF7 Remake. I did a quick search now and found about 25 Animal Crossing related threads during the last 14 days =) (I dont mind that, just to point that out. I'm just doing a comparison of a game that gets many threads created related to it). I'm not sure why Tbone's thread was merged however. Maybe because the same discussion was going on in the Media Create thread, but i dont know.Shame. Next set of TVCM for Brain Training:
It's been trucking along just fine since launch, nowhere near DS numbers but still.
It likely won't stay that way, but right now, it actually is on track for 8 million. There's a couple methods one could use to show that, the most basic of which (and gets close enough) simple YOY growth. But the numbers don't really matter. The point is .... Don't call out other people's predictions with your own stupid predictions while the system is sold out and setting records. The switch isn't on track to sell 8 million though. I don't care what points he had supporting it right now predicting the PS5 to struggle to sell half of the PS4 or less just seems ludicrous.

I think its basically just a logistic issue. The restock for the PS4 is a few days earlier on Amazon (May 1st for PS4, May 3rd for Switch), and if thats an indication of production/shipping in general, they could have delayed/shipped out both versions at the same time if they wanted to increase download sales (now we can say that carts are more expensive to produce compared to discs (which is true) and thats why they delay the cart based media due to that, hehe :P But still, i doubt that this is much of a factor). And after all, its not the first time that cart based media takes longer to restock than disc based media, even in the days when download versions werent a thing.
Nintendo is expecting 22 million for FY 21, ending March. Assumig Japan comes down a little bit from its historical 25% share of hardware and LTD due to Nintendo shifting some units overseals, 20% of 22 million is around 4.4 million, if they stick to 25% somehow but shipping more back to Japan later, its 5.4 million.
Their FY ending Mar 2020 is going to be telling, if they just hit their original targets, then 22 million is going to be the high end. But if they break those targets they set and come in at 20-21 million, then we could see a 23-24 million FY 2021

Yes, FFVII drop was only 5p but again it's hard to predict anything anymore due to these circumstancesComg indicates a strong week but since they also joined emergency situation numbers could be a bit inflated.

Yes but a that level of preorders there is nothing to really interpret, it is too small.Fairy Tail on Switch (both editions) are the only ones in the chart. 🤔
Yeah. The PS4 versions might be at 4 points each or something just off the chart. The Switch versions are only at 5 a piece.Yes but a that level of preorders there is nothing to really interpret, it is too small.
However, I am expecting it to perform favorably on Switch (on par/better) as most anime games.

Curious to see the sales/split of Trials of Mana after seeing the UK ones.
West and Asia (excluding Japan) Switch > PS4
Japan PS4 > Switch
At least first week.
Almost 15k difference between OPW4's first week isn't all that small.
I'd be very, very surprised if the gap between Seiken 3 Switch/PS4 versions is more than half of that in the first week.

Going from Amazon UK, neither version is doing amazingly well, but the Switch version is trumping the PS4 version by a fair margin (position 161 vs. 731 in the best-selling list, which also includes accessories, e-cards, etc.). I'm thinking the gap between the two in Japan won't be major... maybe 5-10k to start, with Switch closing the gap over the month.Curious to see the sales/split of Trials of Mana after seeing the UK ones.
