That franchise mismanagement, my god.
Maybe when GT7 comes out on PS4 a year after the PS5 has launched, Sony might decide to do something about PD.
It's really sad. That franchise mismanagement, my god.

So the Mario bundles aren't counted? That's an amazing launch for Super Mario Odyssey in Spain, in a few weeks it will have outsold Super Mario 3D World lifetime sales.
And very good launch for Assassin's Creed Origins, it is performing notably better than Syndicate.
Gran Turismo Sport is struggling though, I figure out it will be a heavily bundled title. Hard bundles aren't tracked by GfK.

Nothing really surprising here. Mario is always strong on Nintendo consoles. GT is a declining franchise.Lmao.
What a turnaround from 4 years ago when Mario was doomed because Knack was forced onto so many people that didn't know what they were getting into and now it's curbstomping the first flipping GT game on PS4 in most territories.
Never count Nintendo out basically.
If Sony cares at all about GT anymore (big IF), I think a somewhat easy move (relatively speaking) would be to re-release GT Sports as GT7 alongside the PS5 in 2019, with a full single player campaign, and all the tracks and (most) car dlc included with 4k assets. That franchise mismanagement, my god.

I mean sure, but in specific relation to 3D Mario that too is still declining, the series peaked with Galaxy 10 years ago and Galaxy 2 and 3D World both sold less than their predecessors
If you look again, you will see that BOTW and MK8D are also missing. Those two disappeared off the charts a few weeks ago, after a prolonged period at the leading rankings, and the same seems to have happened with Odyssey.I was surprised when I took a look at the French Amazon chart for the year and Mario wasn't in the top 100, unless I missed it.

Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, Zelda and even FIFA disappeared from the chart. That's very strange and irritating. Those 4 and Horizon were the 5 five best-selling games of 2017. It would have looked like :
1&2) Mario Odyssey or Mario Kart
3) Fifa PS4
4) Horizon
5) Zelda

Activision Blizzard's 'Call of Duty: WWII' debuts in customary fashion at No1 and just like last year's 'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare' this is a 3 format release (PS4/Xbox One/PC). Week 1 sales of 'WWII' are significantly higher than 'IW'.
Ubisoft's 'Assassin's Creed Origins' drops from a debut at No1 to No2 this week, followed at No3 by EA's 'FIFA 18'. Nintendo drop 2 places to No4 with Switch 'Super Mario Odyssey' and Sony's PS4 'Gran Turismo Sport' remains at No5. The only other new entry within the Top 40 is Focus Home Interactive's 'Spintires: Mudrunner' debuting at No24 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Week 1 sales of 'WWII' are significantly higher than 'IW', in fact some 57% higher in units and 21% higher in revenue (last year sales on Legacy / Legacy Pro editions were substantial, which is why overall ASP last year was significantly higher).
Treyarch's Call of Duty is 2 years into development. Infinity Ward's is almost a year into development. Remember that we only got WWII because Sledgehammer had a studio vote between Advanced Warfare II and WWII."Week 1 sales of 'WWII' are significantly higher than 'IW'."
I guess IW will be the last sci-fi COD for a while.
(Games Industry)holds firm at No.5. The game continues to perform strongly and looks set to become a major player in the market for Sony this Christmas.
Really really interested to see how Battlefront 2 does, especially if COD comes in around 515k+.
04 (NE) WOLFENSTEIN II: THE NEW COLOSSUS (BETHESDA SOFTWORKS) - 29,000 / NEW
05 (01) GRAN TURISMO: SPORT (SONY COMPUTER ENT.) - 29,000 / 103,000
Wolfenstein II with a 55% second week drop puts it at 13,000 / 42,000
GT Sport is 1 place ahead of it in the all formats chart this week, but unknown by how much, so GT Sport >13,000 / >116,000
What do you mean? It's above Wolf II PS4+XBO, so of course it's also above Wolf II PS4.It's above Wolf PS4 units too if that helps.

So that means roughly 515k for WW2 Week 1? Or is my math terrible?
How does that compare to BF1 Week 1?
