To be fair when he made the tweet it was only in response to Heidi immediately calling out Jared for stuff like blocking her and was a bit before the nudes came up. Not that it excuses him but initially at the time it was before Jared ended seeming like a total monster and I'd imagine investigations were still ongoing and he didn't have the full picture of the situation
