He sounds as close to actual palpatine as rich's Plinkett in HitB does to the plinkett voiceoversis mike's palpatine actually any good? i can never tell. it seems like everyone has a palpatine and they're are just sort of okay.
Yeah, but it's usually way more one-note and parodic. This sounds like ACTING.Mikes done the voice before on an old hitb. The did a skit where Plinkett was sharing his home with Palpatine.
I looked up the Siskel and Ebert segment about 'Silent Night, Deadly Night' and it was more preachy than the clip in BOTW made it seem
Siskel shames the writer, director and producer by name.
Looking them up
The writer didnt do anything other than 'Silent Night, Deadly Night'
The director went on to do a bunch of religious stuff later in life (maybe guilt for his earlier movies?)
The producer was a MEDICAL DOCTOR who went into show business
Ebert ends the review talking about how those people should be ashamed and how they should explain to their kids and grandkids how they could make such a movie. That seemed like a bit of bullshit to me. Like it obviously aint a movie for kids.
Aye, it's gotten old. I expect him to do it now, so is he really being contrarian anymore?I was feeling pretty much the exact same way by that point too.

Nope, but tbf they gel well together. Mac get's Mike's jokes.I wish we could get a Jay/Josh/Jack/Mac BotW with no Mike. Has there ever been a Mac episode where Mike isn't around?
I'm not sure that it's "getting old", so much as it was the exact same thing as what happened in the previous episode. They watch a movie that is mostly boring, but a percentage of the movie is amazing -> Everyone says it wins by a landslide, but Mike rejects the movie for it's boring part and picks the sex-pervert movie instead.Aye, it's gotten old. "Getting old" and "played out" would suggest that Mike hit that button too many times, and that it's not funny anymore, but I think this more relied on specific circumstances. Like, Mike is getting somewhat predictable (Jack predicted Mike's twist in the previous episode), but right now it's mostly due to coming right after his previous blow-up with Jay, and his blow-up with Jay was partially based on Jay believing that one movie was the slam-dunk winner and not considering that any other contenders could be possible. Basically, I don't think Mike hit the button too many times, it was just really noticeable the last time he did it, so this time everyone was on the alert for it. Also, Mike telegraphed it into oblivion by checking the box for the name he forgot.Nah the rest of the table is 100% right to call out Mike's shtick at this point. It's played-out.
Do we need to dig up the Vampire Assassin episode?
Yes, it gets their highest views. Are we expecting a HitB review for SW? I know Plinkett was sort of saying he'd skip it, but there's no way he will. I could see HitB not making one, but that ad revenue.
so let me get this straight
they made Rey a Palpatine and killed off all the Skywalkers so Rey could steal the name
This is where the fun begins.
No one's ever really gone.
