You do when the pc version is also delayed due to consoles. If they have to strip a feature across the board because consoles can't handle it, it also effects you. When you're a PC player and don't have to worry about current gen consoles.
I hope it is a quick and easy transition to ditch the base X1. I wonder how much of the audience out there is still using base consoles.
🤔It isn't that it is difficult, task wise, more that the machine can't handle it.
This rumour specifically mentions base Xbox as the culprit. Also, I don't see how the base PS4 can be a bottleneck when developing for consoles since it's in all regards stronger than base Xbox. I don't see how developing for base Xbox, XBOX One X, Xbox Series X and PC requires significantly less work than also adding PS4.Well, MS first party game doesn't need to deal with any Sony's console, pretty big difference actually.
Btw i don't see this rumor being a rumor anymore since i just check the report and that person said there will be Sony exclusive witcher game? lol wat.
Should have phrased it better gonna edit the post, I was strictly talking about performance and those that were worried about current gen versions of the game. You do when the pc version is also delayed due to consoles. Go tell people that keep saying it's due to CPU.This rumour mentions base Xbox as the culprit. Also, I don't see how the base PS4 can be a bottleneck when developing for consoles since it's in all regards stronger than base Xbox.
For sure. It's struggling with current gen. Next-gen will be a disaster. Dark1x been saying this.Well, that certainly has some interesting implications for Microsoft's current cross-gen strategy
This game is going to run poorly on current gen systems, isn't it? Lol.
Hopefully the PS4 Pro and One X versions run well at least, but I'm not holding my breath.
You mean the minuscule difference in clock speeds between Xbox One and PS4? This rumour specifically mentions Xbox so it's not a CPU thing.
Fair enoughShould have phrased it better gonna edit the post, I was strictly talking about performance and those that were worried about current gen versions of the game.
Or the people said this is full of shit? otherwise i guess i can't wait to see exclusive Witcher game on PS5 then. You mean the minuscule difference in clock speeds between Xbox One and PS4? In any case this rumour specifically mentions Xbox so it's not a CPU thing.
I mean for open world games such as Halo you gotta wonder if they had to scale it back because of current gen limitations.why? That's strictly first party titles only and for a year or two, it's a real non issue

Another reason why gamepass wont become gaming netflix any time soon.
How do these go together in any capacity? Xcloud will be a huge backbone for gamepass on devices that can't run games. Hence why your xbox one will always be viable.Another reason why gamepass wont become gaming netflix any time soon.

Thats what I've been trying to say for months now. I kept getting laughed at because "the pc has graphics options" and they manage fine... apparently.Because trying to scale a game that's appealing to both high end PCs and weak nearly decades old hardware is much harder than armchair developers would lead you to think.
I think we would've had flying cars to drive if it wasn't for current-gen consoles. Probably impossible to do with the jaguar CPU's. I really wanted to fly a car :/Honestly I've always thought it was pretty obvious that the real version of this game will be on the next gen consoles.
They very well could. Or at least one of them. Chances are though this will get delayed to February in August
