Why do consoles need such long lead times? Apple announces products like a month in advance.
Because people need to know about the games. There are too many games releasing for not having a proper hype period. And for devs to be able to speak about the games, the console has to be announced. Why do consoles need such long lead times? Apple announces products like a month in advance.
I think the last 4-5 years we had so many events and so few content on all of them.It really is, you will still have a presence at an industry shows, but for your big shit renting a venue and streaming it got to be cheaper and a bigger return than E3. Hell MS just had an Surface event and owned the whole news cycle for a good time afterwards.
They got the guy who did that new Sonic game to help.

C'mon now, there's still a chance PS5 will be halfway decent

Couldn't they do both? I remember they had a separate event when they announced the PS4.
Goodbye, E3.
Hopefully Nintendo still broadcasts a couple Treehouse steams in-house each year.
It's like Layden said. People have certain expectations when Sony has an event. Go with one event and go big, that should satiate people.Honestly, it makes more and more sense to ditch E3. Even for Nintendo, I'd say.
If Sony has a dedicated PS5 event it will be just as exciting. It will have the grandstanding talk, the demos, etc.
They dont the switch proved that much. They just do it because thats how its always been done. Why do consoles need such long lead times? Apple announces products like a month in advance.
