We already have Gears 1 ultimate. No reason to even touch Gears 1.
With how clean Gears 2 looks, I can only hope they do this soon.
I'm playing ME2 and it still looks good apart from the 720p.

UE doesn't have Player Match. Also, the original artistic vision is better for a lot of the MP maps, such as Mansion.

Like, jesus, I bought this thing for Sonic Forces, but thanks to these enhancement for old shit, it's more than paid for itself already.
I am using a 1080p atm. And the upgrade over a base Xbox One S is already substantial. Downsampled looks sooo crisp, games run great and alot of extra effects. Has been for me a great investment even with a 1080p screen. Its a great machine.
All I need now is Max Payne 3 and the Crysis trilogy. If MS can pull that off, I'll buy a second One X for the hell of it.
Yeah I actually inherited a 4ktv but it's really big and doesn't fit where I live so I'm stuck playing on a 24 inch 1080p monitor. I wanted to grab an X but was afraid it would be a waste of money on a 1080p monitor. Might pick one up later on if the upgrades are noticeable.
I just started it up and at the McFarlane Ranch it was smooth as butter. And man what a visual difference. Not so long ago I played the game for a bit and the aliasing really really stood out, the lower resolution as well.
Gonna be a JOY to go for another playthrough.

I have a 1080p panel and just took the downsampled Xbox One X Enhanced Sonic screens you see above. It is absolutely worth getting an Xbox One X if you have an 1080p panel, you'll still reap a shit-ton of benefits.
I'm actually halfway through Gears 2 and RDR as we speak, and just got Force Unleashed a few months ago.

It's like day and night for so many games, even for these old ones cause super sampling changes everything. Games look like paintings with it, everything is clean and without any aliasing at all.

By far the best console I have ever owned. I can't wait to play rdr and gears 2 again now.
Many people are using it with 1080p displays, myself included. The difference in visual clarity is staggering in many cases, because you don't get just the increase in resolution, but also fantastic texture filtering. And then there are performance improvements and shorter loading times. It's well worth it, if you can spare the expense.
