Pointing down after ganking on a player should automatically curse the offender.
Finally watched reviews and some discussions on DS3 that I skipped the last year and a half, man oh man I missed a ton of NPCs and areas. I knew I was missing NPCs which was a complaint I had a bit, that I had no idea where to meet them again after the first encounter, more so in this one than other games. I only missed two areas, the DLC dragon and apparently almost the entirety of freaking Anor Londo. I had no idea the area was that big, how the shit did I miss it.
Definitely tiny. Up the stairs, left past the dead blacksmith, unlock the main gate, and then the boss. I checked the door where you first enter the hall in DS1 but it's blocked by rubble.Wait, Anor Londo is tiny, unless I missed something too lol.
Isn't it just the main hall, and the area outside of it? Plus the invisible path where the rotating stairs used to be?
It's better than getting the "well what is it" from the millionth Giantdad you run into.
I wouldn't even be mad.Yeah, the first giant dad I encountered in the remastered version two-shot me and immediately messaged me "THE LEGEND NEVER DIES".
So original. Very meme.Yeah, the first giant dad I encountered in the remastered version two-shot me and immediately messaged me "THE LEGEND NEVER DIES".
Kind of amazing how the Giantdad has become its own figure in the DS universeYeah, the first giant dad I encountered in the remastered version two-shot me and immediately messaged me "THE LEGEND NEVER DIES".

No it's just the regular disk. I'll have to forego the DLC this time around, which I've heard is hard as hell in this game. It sucks, but I don't want to keep my friends game for too long anyways.I'm glad you're enjoying it. It's a fantastic game and on par with BB for the most part in my opinion.
Did your friend lend you the Fire Fade Edition? (the one with the DLC)
Dear lorebros, is there an explanation as to why Yhorm and the judicator giants have human looking faces? The giants we see in DS2 have holes for faces, are they supposed to be from a different species or what?

I mean it really depends on your play style. Fast and loose, slow and cautious, like to be nimble or rather hit like a tank? Also, ranged battle is viable and rather helpful just as a back up or if you need to lure enemies or what have you.Further in DS3. Killed a Lord of Cinder without realizing it. I know the Abyss Watcher was in the intro, but I guess I forgot when I finally reached him.
Still a good memorable boss fight. One of those where you die a bunch of times, but you know you're figuring him out each time so it isn't so frustrating.
Having a tough time trying to settle on a weapon. I've been rocking the long sword (from the start of the game) and the Arstor's Spear, but that thing is pretty weak. I'm doing a balanced build, so I've got a lot of options, but I'm still not sure what direction to go in.
Yeah I'm a cautious player, but prefer my weapons to be stronger, but not too slow. If it helps, I preferred the Axe and the Whirlygig Saw in Bloodborne.I mean it really depends on your play style. Man, I am playing through Nioh right now and I am feeling really disappointed as someone who enjoyed the hell of all those demos they did. The game is really not that enganging after all, I will try to keep going but as of now I don't really want to + college obligations will make it hard to keep at it.
I can't wait for Sekiro tbh
Describes my experience with Nioh perfectly. So I can really see how someone might not enjoy Nioh despite liking the From games. If the combat doesn't click, the rest of the game isn't compelling enough to be engaged by it.
Same here. Wanted to like it. Left it just really bored with it.
Jesus Christ, Pontiff Sulyvahn! Dark Souls 3 just went from 0 to a million in no time. I did end up taking him down, but holy hell was that a lot of tries. Motherfucker is relentless, worse than the Orphan of Kos. Even Kos gave you a second to heal if you needed it.

Haha yeah he's a real asshole. He's parryable but honestly I've never been able to consistently time them against him.
That's awesome. Maybe I can link this in the OT.I figured I'd write down a list of inconsistencies between Wikidot and Fextralife's info on the DS3 bosses, in hopes that between this thread and r/darksouls3 people could clear them up.

That's all for the base game. I'll get around to going over the DLC later.
Yeah I should learn parrying. I only played Bloodborne before so it's totally different. I was able to kill him with straight dodging though, albeit with lots and lots of retries. He's completely trivialized by parrying. I suck at parrying in DS3 but with a parry shield like the Small Leather Shield it's not difficult to land parries consistently. He even takes bonus damage from ripostes compared to most bosses.
Otherwise he's pretty tough.
LakeEarth DS3 has some hard as nails bosses, the Optional and DLC ones in particular. You'll have fun. ;)
Once v2 is around we can threadmark it too :)
Good job!just wanted to let you all know that I beated Mimir.
