newsflash: people don't just buy a console for AAA Single PLayer Story Driven shit. It is perfectly okay to have a showcase for other games. Your shit has already been marketed to death and beyond.
That State of Play reminded me of how I felt when Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale was still around. It's like Smash Bros., but not as good. It's like a Nintendo Direct, but not as good.
I like the format but it was a bit underwhelming, mainly due to the VR focus. Still, I liked the Concrete Genie and Days Gone trailers and I'll tune into the next one whenever that will be.

If mods manage to ban people for whining and hating this Forum would be a wasteland.
The only thing about that Direct that I'm confused about is why Sony did a PS VR Direct and then refused to have Dreams in the Direct.
I hope for the opposite. Announce the little things during these that would get lost otherwise. Save the really good stuff for the big, press conferences. Whether that is E3 or PSX. That format is more fun in my opinion.
As always with conference threads. People expect way too much.

I have a PSVR so I thought it was pretty good. Could have had a stronger ending though. I like the Direct-esque presentation format.
That was fine, but I did mention I wasn't expecting much. VR announcements are cool, the support that platform is getting is great to see, but I do feel they needed to end with a big one like Death Stranding gameplay reveal or a new The Last of Us Part II trailer with gameplay included.
With that said, this format is great and I'm glad they're sticking with it this year and hopefully beyond.
