Good on Nintendo! Loving this system, so I hope it will continue to be more and more successful in the future!
The main difference is that while PS4 has Christmas during the 9 month span, Switch hasn't.
So Switch should be ahead of PS4 in the first year compare.

Over 2 million through November is a good showing with no pricd cut.
I really really want this success to continue. It's quite important because the Wii U really lacked a diverse library by the end of 2016. IN fact, barely anything came out because of Wii U's poor sales. It was basically a year of waiting!
14M total by then will be below their FY forecast. It should reach 16.7M (shipped anyway) if they hit their forecast.
PS4 reached that number in less than 9 months, right? So does it mean that the Switch selling better than PS4 so far?

Damn... Switch is killing it. Pre-launch I figured it'd be at about 10 million after the fiscal year but they've already hit that number with no signs of slowing down.
I love mine tho that's for sure. Can't wait until that (rumored) January direct so we can see more of the 2018 titles.

Also, Shipped, not Sold-Through, probably 1.5-2m in the pipeline, so you are looking at ~4M more sales the last 2 months.
It would be worth to pay a premium to take components from Apple for Christmas sales
I hope this also brings even more attention from 3rd Party and indie games devs/pubs, god i can't wait for Enter the Gungeon next week lol.
What a great year for gaming not just Switch but PS4 and PC too Xbox a bit of a letdown but hopefully they can adress that soon, they atleast got PUBG now :p

It's about the same, PS4 reached it in "less than 9 months" and Switch has reached it "in 9 months", but Switch hasn't had a holiday season yet so I think it's probably better.
A couple people linked it on the first page, PS4 sold 10 million in just under 9 months. So Switch is just behind PS4.
That seems way too conservative. Nintendo devices usually sell best during December.
Roughly the same though the switch doesn't include Christmas sales though the ps4 had November and Christmas period at launch.
PS4 needed the holidays to hit that number so quickly. Nintendo hasn't had Christmas numbers fully factored yet.
