I'm actually way more bothered by the pointless addition of the Sonic outline in the 'C' in the logo.
First thing that comes to mind. The head looks ok, but the arms/hands and legs/feet looks weird? Sonics supposed to be this skinny shit and he's got better calves than I do?

Oh god its going to be terrible. Looks like a dude in a suit. First thing that came to mind was that gif of the kid in a wheel chair eating the chilli dog in sonic cosplay
this looks to rival the Michael Bay TMNT films for most repellent CG protagonist design in a CG/live-action hybrid film. can't wait to see how bad the full design looks

Ah yes, just what the Sonic franchise needed, a Hollywood made movie starring a pseudo humanoid looking Sonic. Why WHY their obsession on turning every single cartoon character into a lifeless realistic CG creature!?

This was the fan film (which seemed to have more passion put into it than this has - they even got Jaleel White to reprise Sonic);

Anyway...
I went from "I'll see if it's decent and maybe I'll go watch it" to "unless a friend wants to drag me to have a laugh in the theatre, nope".
Although I'm still waiting for a more complete view of Sonic's design.
But Sonic is faster than the speed of sound, not light.
It should be something like "the problem with being faster than the speed of sound is you don't hear all the constructive criticism of your decaying franchise".
It's funny how Sega does so many bad things to the Sonic franchise, yet it remains such a strong brand.
Was going to post this too.
I'm a lifelong Sega fan, and despite that I'm pumped for Detective Pikachu while I have negative hype for this.
