Whaaaaaaaaaat. Yoko Shimomura is my favorite videogame composer of all time. :O
They said on the stream the orchestral tracks are happening. The stream donations counted towards it too.
Cool. Can't wait to hear them. Also wonder how they will integrate them into the game.
Keep Getting declined, already called my bank to whitelist the payment but they claim they're good to go, appearently the kickstarter pledge is charging me $0.00 and keeps failing.
If someone else encounters the same problem and solution lemme kno. Already contacted KS support for this.
Edit: NVM, just asked a friend for his card to make the payment and went through.

Is the remix soundtrack separate from the OST reward? I already had the digital one from years back, so I didn't nab it.
But seriously, if forwards compatibility is more important to you I suggest going with PS4. I doubt I'm going to playing this in handheld mode much on my Switch.
I got my charge too. Can't wait for it! I went with a physical Switch copy. I might pick up a PS4 copy sometime down the road.
What an experience this whole thing has been. From the years of waiting through every Nintendo Direct for a glimpse of a Switch port, to the unbelievable rumours that maybe it might be going multiplatform, to suddenly watching this Kickstarter blow the roof off the funding target within the first day. We did it, Team!
I just got charged this morning for my Digital/Physical tier. I'm still not sure which platform I want to go for, though; digital for Steam is a lock, and I'm leaning towards Switch for physical but I'm also considering PS4 for the Trophies. Might just get the Switch version and then double dip on PS4 when it's on sale at retail some day.

think I'll get my kickstarter copy on Switch and just get a digital download on PS4 and play that way for best performance + trophies
Kickstarter pledge for Switch version taken, and just locked in a PS4 copy at EB Games (AU). I'm over the moon, so happy this is getting a second chance
Had some trouble with the bank, but my pledge for the game + CD tier went through. Have a Tables Turn cover I found to celebrate.
Outside of the two obvious answers (the theme and Tables Turn), which parts of the OST do you to see remixed by the three legends they got?

Oh yeah, and I hope they remix A Little Too Laid Back.

You'll get an email with a survey for shipping address and order details, such as platform choice and merch variants. That's how most Kickstarters work.
So glad I backed this. My first ever kickstarter campaign and it was so much fun. I have one question, though. I was blocked by Kamiya like a year ago or so. Since the last mission (5 cosplay pics) was completed, will I get unblocked? Or is it only for the people that were blocked as part of the kickstarter?
Yes it was only for people that got blocked as part of the campaign.
It's not like youre missing much out of his twitter. Whatever he says in english is calling people insects, and everything else is in japanese.
Some weird stuff with my pledge. The charge appears on my account normally earlier, but now it's gone. My account on the Kickstarter page still lists that my pledge has gone through. I'm a bit confused what is happening.

Probably because the charge is actually in ¥, not $. I'm glad my card comes with free currency conversion given my pledge was already ~¥30,000 and I'm still probably going to have deal with import fees as well when it gets delivered to the UK.
Not only did I use my fee-waive card, but this isn't the first time I've paid for a KS in Yen (or even Euros), and I never got flagged until now.

My card got declined twice too, just called my bank this morning and they say it's because Visa thinks KS is a fraudulent website.
I've told them that I've used them multiple times in the past without any issues, and they told me to try again and they'll try something by Tuesday if it doesn't work lol...

Same thing here - keeps getting declined, so I contacted my bank, and they told me Kickstarter is trying to charge me 0 USD, and that everything is fine on their end. Contacted KS, and waiting for them. Hopefully they'll answer soon, before I start bugging my friends for their cards.
I wanted this for the Switch originally as I went for the physical, but I am going for PS4 now for the performance, I would want the Switch digitally anyway really so that is what I will do in time, I have the WiiU version anyway.

Got the decline like what most folks have here. My account got frozen so I had to use my bank app to approve/verify the transactions, after which I had to let Kickstarter recharge me again. Luckily my bank "reimbursed" me for the two cancelled charges, and it seems the 3rd one has now gotten through (Kickstarter has verified that my pledge has been paid).
I'm in the constantly declined conundrum too with my VISA card. Bank says they have no issue with anything, no holds. I've used this card on many gaming projects including international ones like Shenmue 3, Bloodstained, and Yooka Laylee with no issue.
WTF is going on? Just emailed kickstarter, but I"m sure they will be no help. Something has got to be borked with this particular project, because its never been a problem before.

Did you check your Pledge tab and ask to try the charge again?
Gastova: The Witches of Arkana was another Kickstarter promoted by PlatinumGames. I looked at the updates of that Kickstarter, and what a turnaround that Kickstarter went through. From looking like it wasn't going to get funded to being funded with still 6 days to go before the Kickstarter is over, PlatinumGames really did a solid for helping others.
No way, Yoko Shimomura and Yuzo Koshiro! That's an amazing lineup. I never knew Yuzo did orchestral arrangements, too.
Etrian Odyssey 4 onward didn't have FM soundtracks. You can hear his orchestral style a lot there. Though I imagine the remix soundtrack probably won't be orchestral.
So I had a missed call, turns out it was my banks fraud department automated call, when I called the number back it asked me to verify the charges were legit, I told it yes. But the charge from the kick starter still hasn't come back and the my kick starter account still says I have been charged.....

My card didn't go through either. I've had this problem before and will borrow my wife's later. My credit union's fraud department doesn't want to hear about foreign payments.
PS4 physical for me, and I'll be picking up the Steam version separately from the Kickstarter. I'd have done the digital/physical reward tier but wanted my keychain tchotchke as well.

Now that the Kickstarter's over, is this factually correct? I'm terrible at mathematics and I don't have the sales data for the original game.
Well in the end I dropped my pledge, I got to preorder the game for €36 shipped so the difference was just too big to gloss over...
Well, just placed second call to my cardholder and it is resolved. It is just a problem with VISA associating payments from Kickstarter using yen as the currency as being fraudulent. It took getting transferred to the fraud specialists with my bank and having them manually allow this payment to go through as I re-submitted it to them in real time. So annoying.
Looking at past Japanese Kickstarter's I did like Bloodstained and Shemnue 3- they were still collecting dollars with their campaign where this one was specifically in yen, so I'm guessing that's why those were not problems.
Still odd, as I did Yooka Laylee which was in Euros and there was no issue there. But yeah, anyone having problems- call your bank and press them on the yen issue through Kickstarter as that's the likely problem.
