Given everything that's associated with anyone carrying water for Trump, what exactly will be the consequences for Habba? She won't face repercussions sadly and if she does, it won't happen soon enough.
Given the statements she's made to the public about Trump's trials, she'll likely say "this is a witch hunt" once more is revealed.

You're generally only on the bar in your own state and get a requested exception when operating in other states from their local bar. Loose your license and no other state is going to give you a temp okWould being disbarred only have consequences for the state of New Jersey (meaning she should still work as a lawyer outside NJ) or would it be a nationwide thing?

Does that mean she did the bar exam three times, in three different states? If it's rather that she did it once in NJ, and then got this "requested exception" that Mandos mentioned for the other two states, then this could still basically kill her career if she gets disbarred in her home state. The way it is usually worded is you have to be admitted and in good standing in at least one state. I don't know how it works if you are admitted in multiple states and disbarred in only one of them. Habba is currently admitted in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.

Oh dear. Bartov has been an expert witness just once before, and it didn't go well then either

(and apparently throughout that case he kept referring to Exxon as 'Enron')
We're done with Sneddon. Now up, Eric Lewis, an accounting professor at Cornell. Kise objects that he's not a proper accountant (and not even a tenured professor), that's rich coming from Kise after his string of Trump's 'expert' golfing buddies, but Engoron lets it go on for now.
This is the last witness apparently. Also a lot cheaper than Bartov.
Ha, the right wing nutters will definitely latch onto Engoron saying "holiday season".
They do so love obsessing about the "war on Christmas".
Former President Donald Trump's attempt to sue Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron over the New York civil fraud trial judge's gag orders was "not permitted," the appellate division concluded in a four-page decision and order Thursday.
Trump filed the petition under Article 78 against Engoron back in mid-November, asking the appellate division to agree that the jurist's gag orders and fines against the former president and his lawyers were an abuse of authority and unconstitutional.
The court explained that "the gravity of potential harm" to Trump "is small, given that the Gag Order is narrow, limited to prohibiting solely statements regarding the court's staff" and, in any event, Engoron's orders are "reviewable through the ordinary appellate process."
In a subsequent order Thursday, the appellate division panel denied Trump's motion for leave to appeal to the New York Court of Appeals and said the "motion for expedited resolution of the petition is denied as moot."
That phrasing is a little weird and at first I thought they were ruling in favor of Trump, saying that the potential for harm from his being able to speak is small. Which it definitely isn't.
Glad to re-read and realize that it's a big loss though.
Can't wait for nuclear meltdown when the licenses are revoked, the business dissolution starts and the ban goes into effect. Just wish we could get his fundraising frozen too
Judge Arthur Engoron slammed Trump's accounting experts and rejected key points of the defense in an order Monday denying a motion for a directed verdict filed by Trump's attorneys after trial testimony ended last week.
It would be a "glaring flaw" to assume testimony from Trump accounting experts Eli Bartov and Jason Flemmons are true and accurate, the judge wrote.
Bartov is a tenured professor, but all that his testimony proves is that for a million or so dollars, some experts will say whatever you want them to say," Engoron wrote. "By doggedly attempting to justify every misstatement, Professor Bartov lost all credibility."
Engoron added: "Defendants also trot out two of their standard canards, that valuations are subjective and that the law only penalizes 'material' deviations. These both fall into the category of 'Let no one be fooled.'"
A valuation can be based on different criteria and analyzed different ways, the judge said, "But a lie is still a lie."
lol so true
