"Let's agree to disagree (because I know I lost the argument but can't admit it)"People who try to win an argument by saying that it's their last post in the thread.
I'm 99% sure I'm guilty of having done this at some point. :PA currently running thread made me think of this:
"It's almost as if..."
Oddly enough one of my biggest pet peeves is when people who have obviously never had to raise a child lecture parents on how to properly raise their child.
A lot of parents do accept that they've fucked up. The part that non-parents don't get is that you don't always know you've fucked up until after the fact, and some asshat coming in with "well if the parents had been doing what they were supposed to be doing they wouldn't have this problem!" isn't providing anything of value at that point.
I see it didn't take long for this smug reply to come out, completely failing to understand what insomnia is and how it affects people.
What About People Who Capitalize Every Thread Title As If This Is the New York Fucking Times.

definitely this"I'm not a troll, I'm a character"
*Proceeds to shitpost, troll, or add nothing to the discussion*
"Let's agree to disagree (because I know I lost the argument but can't admit it)"
Oh absolutely. Most of the time the intent of the one writing is easy to discern as well, depending on how the discussion up to that point went.Though this is mostly true, some arguments just become so inane and unproductive that this particular expression can work as an out for both parties. As in 'let's just move on from this silly conversation'. But yeah most times it's what you said.
"Naughty Gods"
Stop putting developers on a fucking untouchable pedestal.
It means they don't agree with your opinion, or you might have been stating your opinion as fact or having consequence."Well that's just your opinion." No shit it's my opinion, I wrote it didnt I. I'm sure what someone thinks they are proving when they respond with that.
There is also a basic smugness to parents that has been seen in this thread. Like only they can possibly understand how things are.
They're really uncreative. I mean, sure your graphics and animation technology is impressive but you're just putting your dead eyed characters into existing classic scenes. Whatever lofty thoughts they have about themselves SIE studios really need to dial back the smugness. Or at least stop appropriating famous scenes as if they're the originators. The reaction gifs with Naughty Dog/God of War (sometimes Metal Gear) characters or, worse, video game CEOs edited in really bug me. They're rarely creative nor are they ever that funny so, to me, they just feel like corporate worship more than anything.
Maybe I'm just a bit salty because I'm nowhere near as enthused with TLoU: Part 2 as most people seem to be lol
