BOOM! Nice to see Level-5 finally bringing some serious support. This is their first Switch-exclusive it seems! :D
Please no...let the 3DS just die. I know it has a big audience, but you get people to go to the next platform by stopping releases on the old one. We don't need games being held back by the 3DS.Is it really switch exclusive? A 3DS/Switch release would make more sense.

amen. 3DS was great, and I know it still sells..but eh.Please no...let the 3DS just die. I know it has a big audience, but you get people to go to the next platform by stopping releases on the old one. We don't need games being held back by the 3DS.
because it's just a kids game
Is it actually called Yokai Watch 4 or Yokai WatchEdgelordShadowverse?
Is it really switch exclusive? A 3DS/Switch release would make more sense.
Something I never thought I'd see
What is that? Looks like a mock up, but still visually appealing. I might be in the minority in this, but I wouldn't even mind if some games just looked like that on Switch if they wanted to keep games on a 3ds level budget, but still have them on Switch.
Yokai Watch isn't as big as it was anymore.

To be fair, it was only big for a few years. It's still a million + seller when it comes to mainline titles, so it's a big deal for Switch and for Level 5.
huh?Is there a chance of seeing this ported to the Switch down the line?
how do you port Switch game to Switch? Is there a chance of seeing this ported to the Switch down the line?
Japan seems to see it as a handheld system, so in that sense the choice is not surprising with L5's track record. I could see them release on multiple platforms in the West, though, although that would also make sense for the earlier versions (then again, porting from Switch to other systems is easier than from 3DS to those platforms).Only Switch? I was really thinking Level 5 would double down on Switch/PS4 for all their big games, now that there's no dedicated handheld system (i count Switch as a hybrid, not a standalone handheld).
Btw. is this going to be the game with those new, extremely creepy and unsettling designs for the Yokai?
Does this count as port begging? Is there a chance of seeing this ported to the Switch down the line?

haha sorry it's hard to tell if something is joke or not when it comes to Switch port. :P
The series is just a kids series that only be famous in Japan for a while. You wouldn't miss anything if YW4 skips the ps4,think of it like the current Nintendo Labo
They probably want to keep Nintendo as a publishing/marketing partner for the European release.
